I don’t think UT wants to play the bowl game, but the SEC is forcing them to. We will likely see a lot of opt outs from players not wanting to go.

Not so sure about many opt outs. Players get swag from going to a bowl (which is usually quite valuable). I also heard that bowls aren’t doing off the field activities, so all they have to do is practice a few more days and get things from the bowl game. I suspect most will participate.
