Wat point does it even make for a player to left a team she was starting to a team she plays off bench
I’m guessing playing styles, maybe coaching style , and friends played a role in her leaving...she said everyone at UT was great to her but it was time to go. Can’t fault her for wanting to put herself into a better position for her future...she has had nothing to say but positive things about UT.

If she has pro hopes, she probably would have done better to just sit out this awful (virus-plagued) season

Not if she can take another year of eligibility. At least she can get some game time even in a shortened season. But she seems prepared that she's going to be coming off the bench for Patterson until Chastity graduates. No way I can see Jaz moving above her on the depth chart.

Baylor winning back to back games by 93 is just ridiculous if you ask me. Not that these games would gain any new WCBB fans, but those scores ran across tickers all day all across the country. Just in my household alone, "that only happens in women's basketball", "why would I even bother to try watching women's basketball" blah blah. Those scores just look bad for the sport in my opinion.
That 0-7 McNeese team was one of Balyor's more difficult opponents. With two starting guards at 5ft 4in and 5ft 5in. I can see everyone they played beat them by similar scores.

I don’t think she expected to play this year ? But the chance to play with Treasure again is her major reason for transferring! JMO

watched that game -- disappointing result, but SDSU defense had MoSt missing shots they normally make

SDSU is not that athletic but they play incredibly hard. They were the aggressor yesterday. SDSU made 13 more free throws and attempted 17 more. You would have thought they were the home team the way the game was called.

Calip was in foul trouble for Mo State. They do not function well when she’s not on the floor.

I agree that playing with Hunt/Howard must have been her primary motivation. Transferring to UK didn’t make much sense from a basketball or playing time standpoint. There just aren’t any minutes to go around at the guard spot there. Really never felt Jazz was a PG to begin with. She’d be a lot better suited at the 3 spot and committing herself to playing lockdown defense and rebounding. She’s an above average passer and below average scorer.

If Jazz doesn’t start bringing some kind of scoring punch off the bench she’ll see her minutes diminish IMO. Benton is both a better scorer and defender. In Benton’s 12 minutes she was way more active and productive than Massengill in 18 minutes. Granted Jazz hasn’t played and wasn’t expecting to this year.

Hunt hasn’t been anything to write home about so far. Expected more from her based on posts made on this site. I do feel this happens often. Coach’s kids go one direction or the other their freshman year. Seems she had the ball in her hands a lot in HS because mommy was her coach. Having to carve out your own minutes is a lot harder. Her shooting is abysmal so far and she doesn’t bring anything in the passing game or defensively.

She did have a waiver put in for her, so the possibility was there. Speaking of Treasure, I'm surprised that she hasn't been more of an impact player. I thought she would be coming in and playing starting minutes without a proven returning SG coming back, and she's buried at the end of the bench. She doesn't look very happy when she's in the game (although that could just be her overall demeanor), looks perpetually lost on both offensive and defensive sets, and doesn't seem to play with any sense of urgency. So if Treasure was Jaz's incentive for going to UK, she'd best be doing something to cheer her up so she doesn't head to the nearest transfer portal.

I just typed almost the exact same thing about Treasure. She hasn't looked good.

If Jaz didn't think Tennessee was going anywhere, I can see why she would want to move on. Maybe she's not thinking pros, but there could have been other intangibles related to the program that made the switch attractive to her...even at the cost of starting or minutes played. I think where she can help UK is in managing turnovers. Benton is more of a SG than a PG, and her shaky PG management got exposed against DePaul. Massengill takes care of the ball and generally makes smart decisions for passing and looking for her shot. She's not a risk taker, but on a team that has enough scoring weapons (put her on the floor with Benton, Howard and Edwards) then she can afford to be selective with what shots to take.

No and.

I'm probably in the minority, but I am a big fan of her despite the "sorry, not sorry" line. I wish she was still on Tennessee. She could have been a big asset this year. Imagine a more mature Westbrook manning the point with Horston at the 2. A great backcourt.

Many hear have trashed her. Just wanted to show what great form she has on her jumper.

That's it.

PS. while you placed this in the NON LV forum i am starting to believe you are a $#!+ starter! 😂 you have said “positive” things before ,yes, but i dunno 👀

And before i am placed in the “many” that trashed her i am glad she spoke out the culture and environment seemed to be toxic. Still don’t care if she scores another bucket in her career but hope she stays healthy and wish her no bad luck.

That’s it.

No bad feelings toward her just could care less about her. She jumped ship and don't care why. Good luck and goodbye is the way I see it.

I used to hold this sentiment. As time has gone on I do have some bad feelings though. Feel like she really disrespected the memory of Pat. Wont ever sit right with me.
