No, it's not. I was agreeing with you after responding to the poster saying he was fired with cause. He wouldn't have been paid that much if they truly had something for cause.
True.

LA said it's very rare that universities ever actually fire with cause, someone else said "Florida got away with it!" and I shared the information you replied to. It wasn't a firing with cause, in fact it was Florida threating a fire with cause to lower his buyout.

Even Freeze resigned from Ole Miss and wasn't fired with cause...in fact I can't recall the last time any football coach was actually fired with cause and not paid his buyout (or a portion of it). They either resigned (Freeze) or negotiated a lesser buyout (McElwain) it's a black eye that most coaches don't want. "Fired with cause" is almost a career killer.

Prepare yourselves... FF people will be in here tomorrow.. those arguments are probably going to be more entertaining than signing day
Its funny how volnation has clans within itself that views each other as enemies. Lol

that's correct, but if he believes the AD is at fault and a lawsuit would open UT up for more damage the school will just pay full amount to get it to go away.

But if they agree and come to a solution with a smaller payout and he signs the NDA then it's a good deal on both sides.

I'll speculate that Fulmer/Pruitt are in negotiations already about a lower buyout and his termination.

On the field performance is bad, and whatever occurred in the summer is starting to appear (even as vague as it is). Not to mention we've had a few players have issues with law enforcement.

That plus Fulmer not coming out fully endorsing Pruitt the week of ESD makes me think you're right.

Just listening to Jox radio here in Alabama that’s hosted by Cole Cublic. They were talking about the Auburn job and out of nowhere they start talking about a team who doesn’t currently have an opening but could soon have one and they only mentioned UT and how Freeze would love to be there.

TLDR Soon

from that article:

A few weeks back, as discontent grew among Volunteer boosters and fans about the future of head coach Jeremy Pruitt (16-18), rumors flew that Pruitt, himself discontent with the program and his lack of support, told people around the program that he’d just as soon “go back to coaching defense for Nick than put up with this ****.

Didn’t Ole Saint Nick take a couple of shots at Pruitt for taking some of his assistants? Germy might want to slow his mouth down just a touch.

IDT the door is closed on Kiffin. I just don't think now's the time. JMO. The good thing about Kiffin is he knows what he's good at it, he surrounds himself with people who're good at other things and he lets them do their jobs. I think a few years at OM would be good for him.

I would not even care if Kiffin was not good here. Obviously his floor is much higher than the last 3 clowns. Football would be so much fun. Every team would hate us and that’s what being a Vol is all about.

Piss on it....offer Saban double his present contract. After watching 60 yrs of mediocre football the majority of the time, being six feet under just over the horizon, don't give me many more years of Big Orange Football !

Lack of support?!!! Lol. Fire him tma if he really said that. He has more support that almost any other program.
He has gotten everything he has wanted. From staff salaries and off field support he has gotten more support than any coach in UT history.

He is just a terrible HEAD coach. Plain and simple. No need to delay the inevitable.
