We got to know the Kiffins in LA. I like them. Lane's matured a lot, and he'd tell you he would handle things differently at UT if he had a do-over. I just don't think now is the time. But IDT he's held in universal disdain at UT. And IDT he, personally, is lobbying for the (still non-existent) UT job.
I still want him back. Like you've said he's matured. But on top of that he's an elite offensive mind and TN could give him the money to go get and Elite DC. Hes smart enough to match wits on offense with Mullen and I would guess he knows quite a bit about Kirbys defense. Plus its the perfect redemption story and TN finally maybe gets a Hollywood ending. I guess my question is though, are there any or would there be any hard feelings between Fulmer ( if he was still AD) and Lane specifically?

I am not against giving Pruitt another year, but if we were dead set on moving past him, I would think Kiffin should be our first big push. If it is absolutely a no-go with Fulmer, I would be looking at Fulmer to move on. You know, his former head coach Johnny Majors wasn't exactly happy with how he lost his job either, but I think he eventually moved on. It wasn't Kiffin's fault that Fulmer was fired.

I am so sick of all these insiders making excuses for how pathetic our program is. If these are our "insiders" no wonder we suck. No one cares anymore. Well, neither do the ones who pay your bills. We out.

How? Why? Is 3 wins okay in year 3? What excuses are remotely valid for being okay with keeping failure for another year that makes no sense

And isn't kiffin friends with Pruitt?

I always kind of laugh when I read Bruce Feldman refer to Pruitt as "Fulmer's hand picked choice" because he really didn't have much to pick from after the debacle that was John Currie.
Yeah, when Fulmer took over he had all the choices of a Soviet grocery store left available.

I just really hope that if they let Pruitt come back, they don't end up buying him a whole new staff of assistants on multi-year deals. That's just going to put us further in a hole financially when we are in this position again next year.

From VQ:

“Brett “Stats” Norsworthy is an Ole Miss sideline reporter and on Sports56 in Memphis.

Confirmed that UT has always been Hugh’s school, even growing up. Said ESPN tried to do a story during one of their games on Freeze and asked/search for Hugh wearing Ole Miss stuff early in his childhood/youth since he grew up in North Mississippi, except there wasn’t any because all they found was pics of him in Vol gear.

Bring him, he truly has wanted to be here his whole life.”

Bring Hugh home.

Most of us would be... so probably yes. Everybody hates losing, so nobody's having much fun right now. The topic of coaching searches is a fun diversion for some fans. It's not fun for anybody inside UT-- at least not for anyone I've ever met.
Tell them to create an account here and let loose. We won’t tell ANYBODY!

Why do the HMFIC keep trotting these rando threads over here. People who aren’t regulars then think it’s ok to start another rando thread. It’s like the FF or TOS in here right now.
Are you the bouncer kicking people out the club? Lol

He jumped to Ole Miss too early, which has been his issue from the start. Not sure how much he has matured based on his decision making.

If he stuck it out at FAU one more season, Auburn would be beating his door down right now. Don’t get me wrong, I would take him in a heartbeat if Pruitt and think he could win really big here both now and if he never left the first time around.
