You don't think the "we're worried about practice and getting better" is not that same sentence restructured? It is IMO

Pretty sure Terrence Lewis is saying the universe is deterministic and that his free will to choose between Maryland and Tennessee is merely an illusion.

  • 3 wins vs Saban, can beat his rivals/better teams even in down years
Cons:
  • Was just fired for not winning enough football games
  • His ceiling of national championship game may be misleading due to two miraculous plays/wins (then again, Fulmer’s ceiling was also reached via a miraculous gift-wrapped turnover)
  • Is essentially an 8-4 guy on average (wins 66% of his games)
  • Is 2-5 in bowl games
  • Has a poor record against teams that finish the season ranked
  • Offense may be stale at this point
  • Has a very poor record vs UGA
  • There is no precedent of a fired SEC coach having success at another SEC school

Yes. Some programs want to win games and don't operate in fear.

They do but at the same time if he’s on average 8-4 in the west..... i would like to think that translates to 9-3 here and he, like 98% of coaches, can find a great QB and have a special season. The financial aspect of it couldn’t be more perfect for us at this current stage. Even if we hired gus and he went 8-4 for the next 4 years.... it would be hard to complain about that.

I don’t want him to be our first call.... but we could do much much worse than gus.... we have done worse 3 times in a row.

There are a number of coaches I would approach...Campbell, Freeze, Gus. Fickell would be OK. Have somebody like Napier as a fallback.

Instead, we are going to keep Pruitt until next year, then fire him after a disastrous start and end up hiring a coach none of us have even heard of.

I was thinking about that this morning. And I'm really tired of it. I may get flamed for this but if Fulmer can't make a decision that is best for the program then he needs to go. I'm not saying that is what is going on but look at the signs:
- He got fired before the end of the year
-Nothing has really come out in support or against CJP. That's not leadership.
-Info has been leaked that Fulmer won't hire Freeze because he has a grudge over Michael Oher. That's not leadership.
-Info has been leaked that Fulmer won't hire Kiffin because he replaced Fulmer here. That's not leadership.

Its getting ridiculous. Where is UT's leadership? If we make a decision based on other schools our leadership is weak. Make a decision and go with it. People may not agree with the decision but they will respect you more for having a plan. Seriously we are a joke right now.
