Then we should wear Orange jerseys at home and on the road. I never saw UT in a white jersey as a kid, except the 1968 Cotton Bowl when we played Texas and they wore dark orange.

The USC-UCLA game yesterday was a throwback to the days when all of the rivalry games excluded white jerseys. It was great for TV.

This kind of crap is a direct result of men watching the style network. There's NFL on for goodness sake. If you don't like that, go outside & change your oil.....go hunting or fishing.....find a neighbor with a workshop & build something.....but whatever you do find something better than turning volnation into fashion week. Can I get an AMEN?!?!

I do not see anything wrong with updating the jerseys, I have been a Vols fan for 40 years and a new look would not be a bad thing. They could leave the jerseys alone if they would bring back the TN Walking Horse for each game with Davy Crockett on it. Texas has BeVo, Oklahoma has the schooner, The Trojans has a soldier on a horse, the seminoles has an indian riding a horse, Auburn has an eagle and a tiger...Bring Back the horse it would make an awesome tradition statement.

The University whines about the horse tearing up the field, Give me a break..After each score and extra point Davy carries a UT flag while riding the horse at the back of the endzone that we scored in.

I'm just waiting for the first post suggesting that we adopting orange and white camouflage helmets and pants like Army's unis yesterday.

If my team were that bad, I would want to hide them too.

Come to think of it, maybe those orange camo unis aren't such a bad idea.

they wore black shoes, black socks, camo pants, black unis with camo numbers, and camo helmets. it was the digi camo too. it looked really cool, but i would not be able to watch more than one game of army in those unis.

I am just throwing out an idea, but what does everyone think about Kiffin introducing a new jersey next season. I am somewhat tired of the plain orange and white jerseys. What about black being thrown in??? The baseball team has black in their jerseys. Black jerseys and pants with orange helmets I think would look great. I just wanna know what people would think about some new jerseys, now that we have a new coaching era.

it's bad enough we had to put black outlines around the orange numbers because people like Keith Jackson had a hard time reading them...Leave the uniforms alone...its what identifies us along with the T on our helmets and the checkerboard endzones...

As long as this is the Fashion Corner:

I thought Army's camouflage helmets were nice, but having camo helmets AND pants AND numbers was a little much, IMO. They should have pulled just one of the camo colors from the helmet and used it for at least the numbers and probably the pants too. Also, the DUTY HONOR COUNTRY nameplate looked pretty bad. I know it's the Army and all, but it looked a little too much like a little league team with the name of a hardware store on their jerseys.

Typical Nike, though -- take a good idea and overdo the hell out of it to make it XTREEEME!!!!!!11111

Where in heck did all this black stuff come from, anyway? UT's colors are Orange and White. Look back at footage from the '70s and '80s, before they started sticking black in it; that was the true way. I don't even like the idea of the black seats in the arena, even if it's cool-looking.

Get rid of the black, at least in the uniforms. And the turqoise in the Lady Vols stuff, too. That's even worse. :shakehead:

as far as UT goes, i would like to see the oversize numbers make a comeback. how can anyone expect Crompton to hit a receiver on the numbers, when they are so small? i would like to see a helmet with the colors reversed. a real one, not a bad photoshop job. dont know if it would look good or not, i would just be curious to see it.
