I mean Gus is more reasonable a candidate than Freeze, right now.

But I'd honestly probably want Matt Campbell, feel like he's built from nothing twice and may be hungry to do it on the biggest stage. I'm still not sure he'd fair better than Gus or Freeze, but if I wanted to go with someone who hasn't done it in the SEC before he's the top of the list.

Those should be the 3.

In what world is it a blackeye for a HC to identify a great DC for his staff hire him and keep him?
See, you missed the point. Has absolutely nothing to do with his ability to identify good coaches. Has everything to do with those guys saving his 6 play non-QB developing ass.

I understand wanting Freeze here but I can’t understand the hate for Malzhan.

Same guy

I would love to have Gus but he and freeze are far from the same guy. Freeze has never coached at a place that expects playoff years and failed to achieve the amount of success that school requires. In that aspect freeze hasn’t coached in the “big leagues “ yet

According to who is it going to cost more keep him one more year? What is the basis of that calculation?

What established source says we are going to borrow money against TV?

General fund or Athletic Dept has the endowment?

How did you establsh that covid is not stopping firings? Let's compare this year to avg data in a few weeks and see where we are. How many coaches has AU been paying the last couple of years? Last Butch check next month and we did not get a COVID discount on those payments. We also pushed out some facilities upgrades this year if my memory is correct.... if not correct by assertion. It is harder to trade cars when you are under water, have big repair bills., and your income takes a COVID hit.
1. There was a breakdown a few weeks ago, it used the finances right off the UT website to break it down. It doesn't take rocket science to figure out no one is going to be excited if this guy comes back next year and that will cost UT money. Not to mention you'll have to hire a whole new pool of assistants which will cost between 9-12 million, then when we fire the ass hat next year we will owe a lot more money.
2. UT is getting ready to borrow money against it's TV earning, you can believe what you want.
3. General fund which UT is getting ready to borrow against
4. UT hasn't cut any checks to Butch in a long time, this is such a tired and lazy narrative. They put the money in an escrow account back in 2017 and it's been paid out by attorneys. That isn't effecting this years budget and no all of the facility upgrades were put on hold.

VQ guys have also tried pushing the narrative that it was the assistant coaches as to why the freshman haven't played as much until now.

BS. That is all coming from Pruitt. He has completely mismanaged the job.
Yep. It is definitely a calculated effort from AP to help Pruitt. He may throw some little comments against him but not many. He wants his info and knows he has to help Pruitt in order to get it. I know someone who talks to one of our offensive coaches regularly and it has been Pruitts call even when many told him to make a change.

Question for any constitutional lawyers out there:
- knowing that Tennessee has no history of regular policing of paintings made on the rock, would removing “Fire Pruitt” constitute viewpoint discrimination in violation of the US and Tennessee constitutions?
