Pruitt had it last year and he's been dormant this season. I don't know what happened this summer, covid restrictions, social justice rallies, possibly forced to play JG? Something has took the fire out of him

I don't even know who I'd have on my list with these recent shakeups. But if we "settle" for Gus we'll be on here next year talking about how well Phil & Boyd handled things.

Why I don't put Gus in the same category as Les or Richt. Unlike LSU and Georgia Auburn has in state the most dominating dynasty in college football to play every year and recruit against every year. At no point has Auburn ever been considered the "best" program in their own state, regardless of how many times they beat Bama.

LSU recruits itself, the state is talent rich and kids grow up wanting to wear the purple and gold. Georgia has more competition for their recruits, but it's all coming from out of state. Still Kirby is getting the bulk of the in-state talent he wants and Richt did as well. Because of the talent in-state yearly those two programs expect championships. So both Les & Richt were fired despite being ridiculously successful. Auburn has essentially made the same move, the difference is I don't know if they can find a HC willing to step into Saban's shadow.

Hell I'm on the Gus bus just because in his tenure at Auburn as OC/HC he's got 1 Heisman winner and had a total of 3 guys finish in the top 10 in Heisman voting. Produced over 40 NFL draft picks as well.

Even if he DOESN'T win the East in his first 5 years, I'd take 8-10 wins and it coming down to 1 game whether or not we go to Atlanta.

So he DEVELOPED Cam Newton in that 1 off? I don’t want him because I think the rest of the conference figured out his offense and exposed it’s limitations...what we’ve seen with Bo Nix is the new ceiling for him. Also beyond unimpressed by his program building. If we can’t land a PROVEN homerun, give me the excitement of the unknown over the proven meh.

Fulmer will be behind the scenes gathering financial backing from that type of donor. They might be, but if they aren't any info is speculation. This will be very tight lipped and Fulmer will not allow this to turn into a circus like our last AD.

Our program really brought in one of GA's all time best high school qbs, built our whole 20' class around him, made him ride the bench watching JG garbage all year, and peddled to the media that he's not good before he has even played

9-3 last season with freshman Bo Nix and beat Alabama...if that's "exposed" then sign me up. Ya'll are comical.

You've missed a lot...................

1. Its going to cost UT more to keep Pruitt at this point
2. UT is getting ready to borrow money against it's TV contract money
3. UT as a Billion dollar endowment, they aren't hurting for money
4. Covid isn't stopping anyone from firing their coach

According to who is it going to cost more keep him one more year? What is the basis of that calculation?

What established source says we are going to borrow money against TV?

General fund or Athletic Dept has the endowment?

How did you establsh that covid is not stopping firings? Let's compare this year to avg data in a few weeks and see where we are. How many coaches has AU been paying the last couple of years? Last Butch check next month and we did not get a COVID discount on those payments. We also pushed out some facilities upgrades this year if my memory is correct.... if not correct by assertion. It is harder to trade cars when you are under water, have big repair bills., and your income takes a COVID hit.
