I value SEC success and other than Meyer, Gus is the most successful SEC coach available right now.

That would be like hiring March Richt. He would stabilize the program, but you’re going to go 8-4 to 9-3 every year until you get tired of it in about year 6 and fire him. He would never win a championship here.

I’d take Chadwell over Gus. Gus is a proven failure. Chadwell brings hope for something bigger. But it won’t get that far. You won’t get past freeze if you offer, but if you don’t want Freeze, Napier would come here and I’d take him over Gus too

Gus's worse season is 7 wins. He been to 2 NCG games one as a HC, and 2 BCS bowls. Hes also made multiple trips to Atlanta in his tenure. When is the last time TN has done any of that? Hes what the program needs right now to get back to relevance. Chadwell is more likely to be Dooley then he is better than Gus

I would love to go 9-3 / 8-4 every year. Gus has been in the SEC West with uncle Nick and has been able to recruit and win at Auburn. If he comes to the East, he'd already be the winningest coach in the division and better that Smart and Mullen. He'd be as good or better than Fulmer ever was. I could see Gus winning the East every 2 to 3 years.

He isn’t a better coach than Mullen, he’ll never have more talent than Kirby. And he would still play Saban every year. I don’t see him ever winning the East here.

I like Mark Richt... he would be a winner here too, but Gus is the best unemployed coach out there right now..... other than Meyer.

Gus has us in the playoffs and maybe the NCG with that Dobbs '16 team.

At absolute minimum, he doesn't lose to Vandy to end the year, and we are in the Sugar Bowl...that sounds nice right about now.
