Last UT OC/HC who developed a Heisman QB & win a Title? I’ll hang up now.
I’m actually getting too excited about us hiring Gus who has no buyout & could pay Pruitt’s with what Auburn owes him in the next 30 days![]()
What Auburn did was the luckiest thing to happen to UT in a LONG time, from a football stand point.Last UT OC/HC who developed a Heisman QB & win a Title? I’ll hang up now.

It's because there's nothing to talk about. The program is pretty much stalled at this point. No momentum with recruits we don't have. No good news with recruits we do have. No coaching change on the horizon so no nervous energy going on behind the scenes. Just a program stuck in the mud right now with no traction, not sliding anywhere but not moving eitherNo AV or LA Vol drive by seems odd to me. Either something's up or they serve as someone's mouthpiece and right now their interests are better served by silence?

We’re in the cat bird seat now. Freeze probably isn’t getting Auburn, Gus probably will be out of a job next year. Even if we wait, we’re good.
Call Matt Campbell and offer him 2M more per year than he's getting now. Or Fleck.
I would happily take Freeze but we really do need a program builder. All this hire the guy that can recruit and turn the program around overnight is so far fetched. Get a guy that can put the foundation in. We have more in common with Vandy in the last 10 years than we do with Bama. We need a coach that sees it as a true build.
Eh. That's an opinion.I’d say you haven’t got any proof.
Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, Jarrett Stidham & Bo Nix have all been good/great SEC QBs
2 in the NFL one a converted DB with a better season than any QB at UT since Dobbs’ last season.
Yes as a true freshman he had 12 TDs...in 109 attempts. That's a TD every 9 passes lol. 199 QBR.He had 1265 passing yards at Baylor & 12 TDs in 10 games...
Auburn: 5952 passing yards 36 TDs in 2 seasons
We are nowhere near rebuild mode right now. Tons of young talent on both sides of the ball. Offense especially. Lots of unknowns on defense but still a lot of freshman and sophomore talent.Call Matt Campbell and offer him 2M more per year than he's getting now. Or Fleck.

Gus
Freeze
Campbell
Briles
Richt (if healthy)
Miles (Did I stutter?)
Napier or Chadwell
*Gus has no buyout, SEC head coaching experience, success in the toughest division in the NCAA, he's a good recruiter, no major scandals, and he's beat Saban. I don't see a downside to him coaching at TN.
I hope so, but we said similar in 2017/2018. I'm losing faith when I see a badly losing team and we proclaim the team has talent. We need someone that can develop this team ASAP or else they will go the way of the 2015 and 2016 talent...wasted.We are nowhere near rebuild mode right now. We either have talent and have for the last few years, or we have a unique ability to only get players who have been severely overrated by the experts.I hope so, but we said similar in 2017/2018. If we let this charade go on another 12 months we'll land a 2017/2018 type class and officially dive into full rebuild afterward.
