So I take it none of you listen to Feldman's podcast. He addresses his thoughts (and related tweet) in the first few minutes.

There is NOTHING to his tweet. Stop reading desperately between the lines. I wish it were true, I really do, but Bruce is just making a larger point about 2021.

So Feldman is going ahead and assuming it won’t pan out if we keep Pruitt around until next year too. Lol. Everybody can see it isn’t going to work. Why delay the inevitable?

Nick Marshall’s Senior season...would take that over anything Pruitt has put out, from a ex-CB. But Gus can’t develop QBs?

I think the “Gus can’t develop QB’s” idea just isn’t quite accurate. I think it’s more about a certain type of guy fits his offense best. His best offenses have been with very athletic guys.

His worse season was 7-6...
3-1 vs Freeze
3-3 vs Mullen
3-5 vs Saban

2 SEC West Titles, took a 3-9 (0-8) team to 12-2 (7-1) and the BCS title game. I don’t care if he has his kid calling plays, Gus is the best realistic option available now.

I personally believe Pruitt will be the Vols coach next year...

But I would be most intrigued by a rehabbed Art Briles. He is an older guy. He is innovative. He has had a chance to observe.

In some ways, hiring Art Briles would feel similar to Rick Barnes.

There are obvious differences, but hiring an older guy worked with Barnes and it has worked for UNC with Mack Brown. May not be a bad idea.

He “missed” on Jeremiah Johnson. So that lead to a couple rough seasons. But he won with Marshall & Stidham as well as Bo Nix.

Averaging 8.5 wins a season in the SEC West is damn impressive. Only Les & Saban have averaged more.

Cam Newton, Nick Marshall, Jarrett Stidham & Bo Nix have all been good/great SEC QBs

2 in the NFL one a converted DB with a better season than any QB at UT since Dobbs’ last season.

Call Matt Campbell and offer him 2M more per year than he's getting now. Or Fleck.

I would happily take Freeze but we really do need a program builder. All this hire the guy that can recruit and turn the program around overnight is so far fetched. Get a guy that can put the foundation in. We have more in common with Vandy in the last 10 years than we do with Bama. We need a coach that sees it as a true build.

Don't have a dog in this fight, just wanted to say Stidham and Nix have been god awful at Auburn. Stidham was a beast at Baylor and ruined at Auburn.
