Ehh I think if you are going to pay 22mil buyout you better go after an actual successful HC. Sark has all the talent in the world at Alabama every coordinator that comes through there are good at their ONE job because A. They are good assistants B. Have talent to make them look even better..Which means they are high risk, he does have HC experience but I wouldn’t choose him over what they had or someone like Freeze or Cristobal(unlikely) or Kiffen

Is going to Auburn from Oregon that much of an upgrade? I know a coach has gone from Oregon to FSU before though so maybe it is. I can just see someone turning Oregon into a Clemson like program.

Gus has averaged 30+ points every year since he’s been at Auburn except one and his QB was Sean White and Jeremy Johnson (he actually averaged 30 the 2nd year with them starting). Tennessee gets bad QB play and we can barely score a TD. In fact we’ve only averaged 30+ 3 times since 2008. 12, 15 and 16. Gus did that playing in the hardest division in CFB

No question his offense was better than Tennessee but if you look at it from an outside perspective his offense has been steadily declining for years now sure it’s still good and way better than Tennessee. Honestly I would be somewhat happy if we hired him because he is better than Pruitt and definitely an upgrade I just think Freeze’s offense is better.
