LOL you actually buy that “dream job” crap? He’s only making that up because he knows no other job would consider hiring him right now. South Carolina didn’t even interview him. He already had his real dream job and he blew it. He was born in Oxford and he pushed every SEC caliber recruit he coached at Briarcrest to go to Ole Miss.
Yes he was never on SC board. He took his wife to neyland stadium on their honeymoon. He worked in TN high school football. It is well known he wants this job. He has tried 2 times previous to work at UT. Yes, I believe it. He is behind scenes trying to get there.

It is definitely not much tougher to move up there in that conference. Yes, he is a good coach, but he is a Midwest guy, he isnt a great fit. Freeze worked in Memphis and across the south, it is a no brainer and perfect fit and his dream job.

Midwest, NE, Southwest.....doesn’t f’n matter. Dumbest s*** ever spoken or written is “he’s a such and such....” If you can coach, you can coach. Doesn’t f’n matter where you’re from or where you’re at. JFC!!....

Nick Saban was born 45 minutes from Pittsburgh and coached in the midwest his whole life. He can't win in the South. Oh, wait. It's amazing to me that people think where you're from affects your ability to coach football.

I think it has more to do with recruiting ties rather than coaching ability.

Never once did i say affected ability.

And I just want you to know our entire fanbase is going to view you as a god when you turn us around.

This is where you belong, please make it happen and make Tennessee great again. You have no idea how hype and the energy you can unlock here. There is so much passion that will come back so quick with someone like you at Neyland Stadium.

Please make it happen.

The Jim Crew tweet response made me laugh. It's like people think Steele is a horrible DC or something

If Tennessee signs over 3 million dollars in guaranteed future assistants contracts after Saturday on a dead man walking for one year.... it’s time burn it to the ground.

I thought about something. Phillip Fulmer, being a former head coach, might be respecting Pruitt by letting him finish out this year. He may possibly be waiting until the year is finished until he makes the decision to fire Pruitt. I just think it’s odd that Bruce Feldman and then another reporter are acting like Tennessee is gonna come open soon. Or that we are “Eyeballing” certain candidates.
