Now that our original SEC schedule is complete. If COVID had not derailed the college football season then the Vols would have been 6-6 and 3-5 in the SEC and I don't think everyone would be freaking out about Pruitt. JMO ...GBO!

The only thing COVID did was guarantee Pruitt not getting beat by Charlotte and Troy. Also if we had played Mizzou at the regularly scheduled time they would have smoked us.

I don’t think without Covid the team would have faired better. The OOC games would in no way have been locks. Not with how this team plays Defense. Gimmicky offenses which we’d likely have seen would’ve given this team fits.

6-6 in year 3 still wouldn't have been very good.

You know people are laughing out loud at this Cornball when his initial post game remarks to the SEC Network are "I thought both our quarterbacks done good tonight"

You would think at $4 million a year, employed by an educational institution of higher learning they could enroll him in a remedial grammer course over there somewhere.

Bob Kessling calling the Colorado basketball game referenced the Colorado basketball player that spoke 5 languages, rattled the langauges off including Germany and Portugal. Pitiful.

Not how the universe works bud. All kinds of other things could have happened with us or our opponents. Unfortunately this is the only time line we get to work with.

Uh if it was a normal year and we went 6-6 I would be yelling for Pruitt to get fired even more than I am now probably lol

But look - team was not prepared for a round robin SEC schedule - still won 3 games and it is basically a redshirt year for the entire squad. No one seriously is talking about firing Pruitt. The win today got him off the hook. It was about a 6-6 squad and might have upset Oklahoma early before JG melted down. It would be better to play fewer SEC games anyway like in the old days with General Neyland - schedule Sewanee and VMI.

A 6-6 season in year 3 wouldn’t make anyone feel good about the program. Folks need to stop accepting mediocrity.

Getting Missouri and South Carolina later in the year would have meant we'd have been more likely to lose to them than beat them. We have been worse each week as the year went on, South Carolina stayed the same and Missouri got better.

Go back to the original schedule before COVID changed it.

We wouldn't have played Auburn and TX AM.
Our 4 OOC games we more than likely would have gone 3-1 losing to Oklahoma.

JMO...no 6-6 isn't great, much better than 3-7 but when we change coaches every 3 years that is what we get.

GBO!

Yes. Except when Neyland was our coach Suwanee was in the SEC.
