Let's be honest, that Velus' catch and run really makes Bailey's stats look superior to Shrout. I'm not saying HB shouldn't be the guy, but we have to acknowledge that.

Any catch by shrouts receivers make him look superior by that metric, so all said and done 77% to 49% is the metric I'd use

FYI, here’s a breakdown on Bailey’s mechanics. I think you’ll see his deep ball accuracy and release speed improve when he gets more game reps with the receivers.

Believe it or not. Butch was a proven winner too.

The SEC is a different animal. We need someone with proven SEC chops. The ridiculousness of people fawning over the up and comers, experiments, and flavor of the week coaches is nauseating. I swear it’s like we want to be this way and refuse to learn from mistakes.

Hard to find them though. Freeze may be available this year, but normally guys aren’t jumping from other P5 programs. That’s why Florida even hired Urban, Zook, Muschamp, and McElwain- all who had no prior P5 experience as a head coach.

If HB and Shrout had played all season in any combination instead of #2 - this team would have 5 wins at this point. Had the freshmen and second year players been worked in earlier with more snaps than what has happened all season, they would probably have 6 wins. It really comes down to whether one believes this squad can beat 3 OOC teams (when they lost to 2 last year) vs beating a much improved Mizzou team after they’ve found their QB. Hell, now that I’m laying it out, I could see them finding a loss to one of the 3 OOC teams and losing to Mizzou! Lmao
