The Atlanta Braves

irrelevant, we had the best lineup in baseball despite all of that. Feels like 1/2 our team had career years, chances of that happening simultaneously again are slim. And lol on Freddie missing preseason as if that hurt him or the team. It can be both a great season and still a disappointment for losing grip on what was ours to take.

We should’ve won a WS last year.

Losing Soroka alone was not irrelevant. Miss me with this negative take

Even if you think Donbrowski isn’t a great GM, it shows Philly is gonna be more aggressive and not afraid to make big moves. It’s still not a good sign.
I dunno - I mean he's a spendthrift who likes to gut his farm system in an effort to win now. Philly has money but not as much as teams like the Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, etc., and a lot of the money that they do have is already committed. He can't deal prospects for at least a couple years, because at the moment they don't really have any. He's a quintessential big market GM who likes to make big moves in the free agent and trade market, but I question how many of those he can actually do. At least for the next couple years. If they aren't good in a couple years, I could see their fans, who are the worst in MLB, running him out of town.

IMO, if you want to worry about a division rival the team to worry about is the Mets. Having Bobby Axelrod, I mean, Steven Cohen as their owner is great for them.

I think you underestimate how much the Phillies will spend. They won’t have a problem with a $200M payroll. And I’m worried about the Mets as well.
