I wish our boosters and administration cared as much about UT football than the lowly common fan does. We are such a joke of a program. And no one seems to want to fix it. We look for ways to keep loser coaches instead of looking for ways to win. Our department is full of losers.

When even Fulmer is dragging his feet on firing a failure of a coach, you know we're beyond screwed. Literally no one has it in them to actually make the big balls moves required to make UT competent at football again.

It shouldn't. Vanderbilt can't even field a team, atm, and is really only bothering to play at this point as a courtesy to the conference, other teams and the TV contracts we all share. If not for their obligations to the conference they'd have shut down this season entirely and probably have been better off for it. Beating them even with this team should be a given. It certainly shouldn't save your job. This is a bad Vandy team even by other bad Vandy teams' standards.

I don't think this game has anything to do with their obligations to the conference. I believe Candy truly wants the chance to beat Tennessee. There's so much hate between the two teams for it to be anything else. They just want the chance to beat Tennessee. Will it happen? I doubt it, but I think they will pull out all the stops in this game to try to get the win. Hell, they may never punt unless it's 4th and a ton.

The bottom line is if they bring Pruitt back for another year, then the admin doesn’t care about winning. That includes Boyd.

Pruitt is going to turn in the lowest win total season since 1924. There is not a valid excuse for keeping him.

Funny we fired Bill Battle with a 59-22-2 record and a 4-1 bowl record.

It won't happen most still want to coach except Chaney who may be in the twilight of his career.

If we get Wisconsin or WVA in a bowl (both projections) we get hammered. I've also seen FAU in one projection, we may could win, but how embarrassing would it be to lose to a team like that again?

A lot to be said for that. I was reading about Napier and found and a quote from Dabo after he fired Napier. I don’t like Dabo but it was along the same thought process as Saban.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said following Friday's loss to South Florida he would "do everything and anything" in his power to make sure another losing season did not occur during his tenure

"This was a difficult decision, one that was not made hastily," said Swinney in a statement Sunday evening. "But we must make significant improvement on the offensive side of the ball. I have to do what I believe is best for the program going forward, and make sure we don't experience another season like the one we just had."

Dabo was over there firing Napier for scoring 31 in Y1 and then 24 ppg in Y2 and here we are just fine with 20 ppg Chaney.

I’m to the point now that I KNOW our admins, money guys, and Phil are not crazy enough to bring him back. There isn’t one positive that you can point to and make the case. There’s no signature wins, you’re not even competitive with rivals, a few of the worst losses in program history, and recruiting is already falling apart.

No way he’s back next year. Just refuse to believe it at this point. Money people will find a way to make it work, they always do. Even if we have to rob peter to pay Paul.

The problem is.... UF has one of the worst defenses in the league and we couldn’t sustain drives or score until the 4th quarter when they were playing primarily soft shell and basically in keep the clock moving mode.

This is what I’ve been holding onto this whole time. There’s hardly even a financial case anymore, considering he’s likely to want to turn the staff over again.
