I don't see how people find it insulting or tone deaf that UT wants to provide a better experience for all fans. Club seating was upgraded a while back and upgrading other areas of the stadium, including non-premium seating, has been in the long-term plan. Fans have complained for decades about things that are long overdue. And now it sets people off? But that's the last I'll say about it.

Guys we could be discussing a Vandy loss and Pruitt gone in 48 hours
Should be discussing Pruitt fired now regardless of any game result.

I get why (human psychology), but the fact that a win or loss to an 0-8 team with an interim coach and 20-30 dudes quitting in recent days is a potential litmus test for keeping a coach makes me want to vomit.

It’s a prioritization question at this point. Not saying it doesn’t need to be done, but doing it at the expense of providing a winning, or at least competitive, football team is a horrible business decision. ROI of fielding a winning football team is far greater than that of upgraded seats.

I think his point was that Barnes has been better here than many expected. The reaction when he was hired was mostly “Eh, he’s a retread, was really mediocre the last several years at Texas.”He’s been way better than mediocre so far, even though he is currently overpaid.

He’s fine at a place like Tennessee that isn’t a basketball blue blood. He’s never been a good tournament coach, but if he makes deep tournament runs here and there that’s about as good as we can do I think.

I agree. I just get salty after that crap last year. Lol. And, I’m still sore from that Purdue game in 2018. Wasn’t his fault at all. Just stinks... lol.

I’d sit on a 4 inch square of concrete in the baking sun between two Yankees 350+ each yelling at each other and passing Petros chili back and forth for a 10 win season. Needless to say, f*** renovations at this moment.

I think most fans want that but want to win first, then spend the profits that come from winning on upgrades.

People don’t care about upgraded seating if we are having to watch us lose to Kentucky by 30. Fix the product on the field first then pamper us.

Don’t know but we only run around 10 plays. the hard playbook thing is just a convenient excuse for sucking. Tyler Bray ran it, think about it.
TB has been in the NFL for a decade. He's a very good QB. He also had excellent wideouts and an elite OL toward the end...and yet only averaged 30 ppg ONCE. Half of all FBS teams now average over 30. Chaney has done it 1 of his 6 seasons here. He is mediocre and the best offenses now are simplistic. Clemson, osu, Briles, Lebby, Yurcich. He is living in the past with Pruitt.

For the time being, I’d be OK with us playing in a strip mall parking lot if it meant we were good. Let’s get a good team on the field before stadium upgrades. Until then it comes off as living in the past type stuff, which is exactly what we’re doing.
