I think kids are more exposed to the pulse of the program today than ever before.

I‘m actually shocked we still get anything over a 3* in our recruiting classes. The kids in high school right now have only paid attention to UT the last decade at most, which is the beginning of the Dooley era. We have been an also ran for as long as these recruits can remember, and if we played in the Big 10, we would be lucky to pull a top 30 class

Very true. With Pruitt's retention, 3* or better will be a distant memory.

Is it really negativity or truth? The problem with society is we try and dress up the truth and make excuses for failures. The sad reality is that UT is not a good football team. We may have talent but that talent needs developed and put in the right position to shine. Our record is what it says we are so when you are 2-6 and the fans say you suck then you suck, point-blank. Doesn't matter participation is all that matters, trophies all around.

I think some of the people with their hundreds and even thousands of post constantly complained really does hurt our chances with some. Although the bulk of the fan base that is tired will also treat the team like kings if they start winning.

Everybody brings up how bad we are for recruiting on here how about all the ones we have helped get. I am sure that along the way over the last 11 years or so we have won some recruits over. The passion of this fanbase can go either way just saying.
Yes it can. Can you imagine being a recruit and seeing the overwhelming support of certain names on twitter or otherwise for so long only to see those same names turn on you at the drop of a pin over something completely out of your control? It hits you different. Some of those names become as familiar to them as the names on this board are to us.
