Sankey having media call at 6pm for "a significant announcement"

Really glad the SEC is moving away from CBS.
They are way to biased and only show games that consist of one team getting blown out all the time.
Way to much homerism for the favored team or the team the announcers want to win.
This is my thoughts and opinion which I have conveyed to CBS sports already about 2-3 seasons ago.

What’s going to happen when ESPN goes belly-up before then?

Awesome answer.
You forgot to add the weekly football reminder For all SEC football fans and referees.
Rule #1. Alabama never holds and thus can never be flagged for holding.
You are correct. I also feel obligated to add this:

Rule #2. If there are any questions, refer to Rule #1.

Not sure how I feel about the Disney thing. I know my local CBS signal is fabulous and I generally watch over the air. ABC not so good but looks like the conference and schools will make MUCH more money even though we’ll probably be parted with a little more of our own. *shrugs*

I’m surprised that so many people are happy about this. I understand that the two million commercial breaks on CBS can get annoying, but the production quality of the SEC on CBS is NFL level and light years ahead of any college football game that ESPN/ABC produces.

And you think ESPN will be different?
GBO!!

I mean, if this number is true and it's an extra $20 million a year for each school, the financial argument for keeping Jeremy Pruitt becomes even more stupid because these buyouts are paid out over many years and you could use one year of this TV contract to buyout Pruitt and his entire staff.

SEC, ESPN announce new 10-year broadcast agreement

For the 2018 fiscal year, the SEC reported total revenue of $627 million, with each of the conference's 14 schools receiving a payout of $43.1 million. The new ESPN/ABC TV contract could increase the annual payout for each school by nearly $20 million per year, according to the SBJ report.

He’ll probably just be doing the NFL full time, along with college basketball after the 2023 season.

I don't know what the other conferences' TV deals look like, but it's possible they could poach one of the other Power 5 conferences away from ESPN. If not, yeah...Nessler will slot fine into the CBS NFL rotation (assuming CBS doesn't lose that) and is already in their college basketball rotation.
