His high school coach is Connor Shaw's bro. I think he is going to South Carolina whoever the coach is.

In Napier's first season as OC at Clemson that was their record point total in school history up to that point. Is 20-4 last two seasons after 7-7 his first and Louisiana was coming off of three straight losing seasons. His dad was a well respected high school coach in GA as well.

Coach Napier. Coached some really good teams back in his North Georgia days.

I'm logging in & commenting for the first time since February to say - Blow It Up. What do we have to lose at this point? We are likely to finish with a top 20 class which will be about 8th - 10th in the SEC. The performance of this defense, alongside the AWFUL recruiting of Ansley, is inexcusable.

Bring in Freeze, bring in a DC with a proven ability to recruit, and lets score some damn points.

Hopefully he’s overcome some of his personal issues. Also, I’m pretty sure he told one of our boosters (can’t remember which one) that they were dumber than hell when we hired Dooley. Part of the reason why he lost out on the job last time.

Which is why we need him now.

His college record suggests otherwise. Look at where Syracuse was for the 5 years before he took over, and where he got them. Just because he’s not a good NFL coach doesn’t mean he’s not a great college coach. Take Nick Saban for instance. I think Marrone or O’Brien either one would do very well here.

Go park outside of Campbell’s house. Hound him, hassle him, offer him a big money deal. Do what Bama did to Saban. Make him say no. And then move to other targets. Do we want to get back to winning or not?

Does our administration still believe in TN? Then let’s get it done.

Last 4 minutes before half and first 4 after halftime. Ive heard Saban talk about it before and Bill Belichick is huge on it. Basically if you get ball after halftime, you want to score then score coming out of half. You essiantlly get to put up 14 points without the other team touching the ball. Yes, Pruitt is the first coach I've ever heard talk about just running the clock out during the middle 8. To make it more basic, if you are the better team it's a good place to put the game away. If you are the dog, it's where you can't get beat.

Noooooooo. Hes was terrible at SCAR and his offense is just as maybe even more so antique then Chaneys. Hes not a guy thats going to score a lot of points.

Not saying he isn't a slight upgrade over what we have now, however, you can point to the fact he is an integral part of the Exhibit A of what got Muschamp fired.

At this point he is likely the best option who is going to join this sinking ship. Another mercenary coming to UT to collect a buyout.

IF they decide to retain Pruitt, and IF he is signed to a one year deal, then I could agree to Mike Bobo as a QB coach to replace Weinke.

Getting Mike Bobo should not be a reason to bring back Pruitt, Bobo should not be the OC, and we shouldn't waste the money on giving him a multi-year deal.

I’d be down with Freeze but that one isn’t realistic for reasons I’ve already stated.

I dont think a change is made, and I sure as hell am not rooting for a loss to Vanderbilt this year. But if a change is made, Napier works IMO.

Yes. Was not a very good offensive coordinator, but stuck around there for years. Never quite seemed to put it altogether even though he had Matthew Stafford, Knowshon Moreno, and A.J. Green all on the same offense at one point.

I agree completely, go win some ball games at South Alabama for 2-3 and then we can debate hiring him over McGoogle when Pruitt finally gets canned after going 0-12!
