Most interesting part of Hudson Wolf decommitment...he said coaches the last two years and most recently Coach Fulmer. Says to me Fulmer was trying to help JP hold on to this class.
My guess is Fulmer has micro managed this situation from the get go. Hand holding too much because he new Pruitt couldn’t do it and trying every which way for him (Fulmer) to look like he succeeded. The shimmer finally wore off the turd.

All money comes with strings. Strings are the reasons those folks have money.

You're right, I should have specified better, it's been mentioned that Haslam's money comes with strings in regards to personnel decisions. I'm curious what other avenues for money with 'strings' looks like. Is it slapping someone's name on something in the facility? Is it full academic scholarships for a lifetime of grandchildren? Is there any available monies that wouldn't carry the weight of getting to choose who the replacement coach would be?

If we were to terminate Pruitt, our job would be the best job open in the country right now. How many times have we been able to say that? I think a move needs to be made in order to save the '22 class.
Unfortunately that doesn't equate to massive interest.

I just stated the facts of the situation. There are many ways to source money-- and all come with strings or obligations. If you don't have the money in reserve to fund something, you have to raise it, borrow it or have it gifted. Technically, I guess you could steal it, but let's go with the other three.

Crowd fund it with the only stipulation that we’ve got to hire a winner.

Optimistic Tennessee Fan:

2010- Dooley was endorsed by Saban and his recruiting coordinator. He will recruit as well as Kiffin and he’s a southern boy that uses the word britches.

2011- Tyler Bray and these receivers are going to dominate the league. Florida doesn’t have a chance.

2012- Glad we hired Sunseri over Steele. Sunseri came from Alabama, he’s gotta be good.

2013- Butch Jones has won everywhere and he is proving to be an elite recruiter.

2014- This freshman class is going to be great. Dooley didn’t leave Butch anything.

2015- This team is going to win the East. We are back!

2016- We are going to easily win the East and could beat Bama. Shoop is going to dominate.Feels good to be elite again.

2017- JG is faster than Dobbs, can’t wait to see what this kid can do.

2018- Finally a real football coach and not a used car salesman. Unfortunately Butch left the cupboard bare.

2019- Chaney is going to take this offense to new heights.

2020. Decade of the Vols. We are going to run the ball down everyone’s throat and we will never have to worry about Defense with Pruitt.

2021- we just need to replace our OC, DC, OLine, Qb, D-line and linebacker coach. Even for an optimist 2021 looks pretty bleek.

Gotta win the games you play. If tOSU does, they DESERVE it over a one loss Notre Dame and DEFINITELY over a two loss Clemson.
You know how much i respect and like you.................but no.... when it comes to the Buckeyes.
Sorry.:D

"Ergen won't pony up money from what I hear. Haslam might, as long as he gets lots of influence on potential hires.. Haslams have always been willing, others not so much..

But someone said University has money to lend the AD. Not sure if that means money to help with losses or money to help with buyouts or both.."
If Ergen won't help, I will show him by switching from Dish to Direct TV.

For QB transfers, I hope we go after Milton, Josh Jackson, Plumlee, hell Frost said Luke McCaffrey is their future, maybe we can try him and lastly I’d look at that Temple grad transfer.
