Simple to answer. A high octane RPO offense without an even mid-octane RPO QB to run it. So the motor is going to sputter and blow smoke. Osovet is for Salter if either stick around long enough to see 2021 as a Vol.
Trask can't run and they do fine. Clemson rarely runs Lawrence, but the offense still works.

What happens if Sarah Fuller kicks a fg and it gets blocked, then we return the blocked kick, she is about to make the tackle and Jeremy Banks clocks her with a legal block? What happens to this feel good story?
I would absolutely loose my sh!t while at the same time hoping she’s okay. Hopefully she would NOT try to make that play

Freeze could redeem us. He’s Mullen or maybe better
As someone who was very high on Mullen even I’m surprised how well he’s doing. Freeze had a lil better results at a lil easier place to win but had better talent. I’d love to see him here, UGA, UF, UT consistently top #10.... football would be fun again

I mean... I wouldn’t mind playing football with her and having to “rough her up”...

Interesting this past summer I was playing golf with individual who created well known recruiting site. Obviously knew I was a Vol fan with my Tenn golf bag etc. he said" What do you think of your coach?' I said well looks like he has some momentum..think we will make strides forward. Have a coach instead of a cars salesman. " " This individual then went on to tell me some "stories" fr his time in Tallahassee and what consensus was in college community re his skills as a coach/person and I was like.."If they knew, how did our administration not know. I have been in Sr Executive recruiting for over 20 years and this lack of awareness/due diligence is stunning.
Details from this guy's comments please...

Won't happen, she basically said in an interview on Nashville radio (104.5) that her job was to place the kick in a designated area (presumably because she can't reach the end zone) and immediately run to the sideline (presumably because she's female and they're afraid of what might happen to her). She added if she had some practice she could perform a "slide tackle". I'm sorry but I hope we run one back because they are trying this stupid gimmick for attention. If she can do everything you would require of a male then so be it, I have no problem with it. Until then it's a feel good gimmick that's condescending to women.

Serious question-----

Why didn't Uros play any last night with all the rotations? I understand last year he was learning and developing, but he passes the eye test as a well proportioned dude who looks athletic with agility... He should be out there with Ponz snatching every rebound and getting it to him in the paint for easy baskets/layups... that's what we were missing last night... if no one wants to penetrate and drive to the basket to get points and one, we need someone who can grab it and go... I love me some Fulky, but he seemed too timid to post up and go ...
I believe we had some guys out still with Covid or contact tracing. Barnes has mention about how much better Uros has looked in practice this year.

Where I come from, that would be called "consequence of choices".

Something that @MetalVolunteer said earlier made me think of a similar trajectory.

My brothers and I grew up in the 70s and 80s in Knoxville watching the games on TV with my Dad - sound off with John Ward on the radio.

Though my younger brother joined the Navy, and I moved out of state, we both would make it back to Knoxville for at least one game each Fall. It was our pilgrimage.

When the games were on TV, we would call each other or would text furiously About the play by play.

In 2015 we both spent a LOT of money (to us) for good tickets, hotel rooms, restaurants, and travel to attend the Oklahoma game. It was awesome until it was soul-crushingly awful. I think that broke his fandom some.

I returned for a few more games since then - all losses. My desire to travel and spend that much money keeps going down.

What’s sadder is that my younger brother, who used to be as ate up with the Vols as me, doesn’t even watch the games anymore. He barely even keeps track of the season. I get it.

Here’s my @MetalVolunteer point - I think we are on the precipice of not only losing a whole slew of long-time dedicated fans to sheer apathy; but we also run the risk of completely missing out on reinforcements from younger generations. TN hasn’t done anything of merit in the entire life span of most teenagers and even college students.

I don’t want to sound overly hyperbolic, but this is a juncture where we can swing for the fences for a good rebound to national prominence or I truly believe that the death spiral will be fairly rapid and what’s so scary is - likely irreversible.

I agree with what you said about the younger generation of fans. I've gotten to the point that I just record our games and watch if we win or delete if we lose. I've only watched the first two games this year. I really wanted to see Bailey and JT play last week but I'm not gonna deviate from my plan. I like the stress free weekends too much :cool:
