Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

Friday will be three weeks for me...I had the same with a partially torn rotator cuff. My PT has been baby steps. Your range of motion sounds much greater than mine at this point and I’ve had at least 5 PT sessions

Remember his arm was immobilized for six weeks before PT started. My second shouldler was more like yours - they start sooner to keep it loose but probably limit motion so there's no chance of tearing the repairs.

Mine doesn’t make any sounds, but it’s wound up tight. I wonder why our PT is so different? I‘ll just be starting the hand bike with no resistance next week
I will be doing all passive for two weeks at least. No idea why and I asked him why no pendulums as the Dr explicitly brought that up. 🤷‍♂️

I asked him if I could over do it and hurt myself and he said not with passive PT. Just no resistance and don’t lift anything.

Four but yeah. Six weeks to be sling free.

I can't remember about the noise, but then my hearing is suspect anyways. The guy I had for PT on the first shoulder read the list of what the doc did and said something like that was pretty much all you could do in one operation, and the 6 week period with no movement was like yours, and the start of PT was brutal. One thing is that the doc and PT seem to communicate pretty well, so if there are questions the therapist is probably checking in with the doc.
Mine is 6 in the sling and 4 to start passive PT. I was shocked on the extension stuff but like I said in the other post he said I can’t hurt myself with passive PT. I sure as hell hope he’s right. And yeah the noise and popping is rather disturbing.

After a 13 hour drive today, I finally arrived in Florida a couple of hours ago.
For some reason your post reminded me of a trip to Daytona in ‘82. I went with my girlfriend and her parents. Her dad was a car salesman and had a brand new Olds 88. He had a styrofoam ice chest in the trunk and would pull over on the side of the interstate and get him a cold one when it was time. I’m guessing he had six

That was me u SOB,,,,I had a Delta 88 as I posted earlier. My daughter just liked you for your physique. She is still traumatized you left her at the Krystal, so u better we hope we never bump.

Just dropped a family member off at hospital. This was out front. 99.8% survival rate ...to me , firemen and cops aren't heroes just because of 9.11...and people that work at hospitals aren't heroes because of covid...heroes are every single man who has received the Metal of Honor, and a lot of brave men who didn't. The men and women doing triage in a field hospital tent with mortar shells landing outside...anyone who ever dove on a grenade to save the lives of others...the Russians who went into the pool at Chernobyl knowing it meant death, in order to save thousands..

Most talent they ever had and they will never be as funny as that group again.

Wife records it every week and we FF thru it. We both always say “that’s not even funny it’s just stupid” we try to watch weekend update and even it was stupid this week. They need to shelve the activism and just be funny again.

I stopped watching back around 1985 or so. Eddie Murphy was the only one on that I'd barely watched anymore.
The Blues Brothers movie was the best thing that came out of that w/that cast of characters.

I had that discussion with someone on the forum a week or so ago. I said that comedians just aren't that funny anymore.
