Well he might now because he’s performed well vs. Florida.

I’m just saying the decision to play him vs. Florida (and Maurer too in certain formations) was all about trying to keep one of them around.
Regardless JG is leaving and so is at least one of shrout/maurer, so that will leave us with 3 scholarship qbs, do you think we try to get a transfer?

My early morning thoughts, like anyone cares...

-We will beat Vandy by around 7-13 points since they are down 40+ players, which will mean Pruitt will be here next year
-Recruiting will continue to fall off and we will finish 15-25 in the rankings
-The early signing period has made holding onto a lame duck coach a year to long even more damaging. When Pruitt eventually fails next year, it will be too late for the new coach to come in and save what is shaping up to be an excellent '22 class. We will also be competing with several big time programs for a coach, which will result in hiring a google coach.
-85% of the fan base will think he's the next Saban
-Meanwhile, we will be in here talking about how Kirby is about to be 'exposed" while he is continuing to pull in top ranked classes, compete with Florida, and kill us

JT is like a semester or two from graduating and is dating UT royalty. If he wanted to transfer he would have done it already.

With how this season went and the fact he already got a RS he's likely going to grad transfer and have 2 years of eligibility left, seems like a solid plan to me if I was him.

Hubbs doesn't like the guy because no one likes the guy. Brent has been on campus with the Vol Network and WNML before that for close to 30 years. He knows everyone over there. And he knows all the people who were fired, furloughed or had their hours cut while this coaching staff chugged along making their normal pay for mediocre results.

Hubbs, rightly, has made the calculation he can say whatever he wants about Pruitt because he doesn't need a relationship with him anymore. People are so pissed that everyone is talking.

Spot on.

Why has no one ever considered bringing in Jordan Palmer as a QB coach or as a coach of some sort. Dude coaches QBs all the time and is a go to trainer.

All I'm saying is they've got to keep one of them around if the other leaves and JG leaves.

HB
Shrout
Salter

You need more than three QB's to begin with, but also, they don't seem to love any of those guys right now.

catching up --- this is crazy...

Pruitt sucks- check
Chaney sucks- check
Our offense sucks- check
Our Defense is pathetic- check
Pruitt is supposed to be the Defense genius but is clearly lost or doesn't care- check
We've got a few good QB's, but they haven't been developed, so finally Weinke is gone- check
Pruitt waits until the end of the season when it's too late to put in Bailey and Shrout who are clearly better than JG- check
We have one of the best O line's in the country on paper and we are performing barely average so get rid of Friend- check
Fulmer is hitched to Pruitt, so he's getting another year and a 3rd staff to F up- check
Both LA and AV basically saying he isn't going anywhere this year so we will lose out on Freeze and others- check
Folks still wasting page after page speculating on new hire potentials, even though it isn't happening until next year- check
Recruiting is obviously falling apart and will eventually tank- 3* U here we come again- check
After we suck again next season (as everyone is bracing for), both Fulmer and Pruitt will be gone- check
This is UT Football for the past 12+ yrs- check

Why wouldn’t they just do it now? Players at other programs are. I mean sure we can prob expect a couple but I don’t see some kind of mass exodus
Some may wait to see if the one time transfer rule is passed. Some may leave because of coaches leaving which probably won't happen until after the first of the year.

Vols remain the cuckolds of college football.

Pruitt's only hope in making it here is to get his NFL rejected friends to sign up. If we can bring in Bo Davis, Tosh Lupoi, and Freddy Kitchens we might be able to turn it around. The best thing about hiring someone who has coached at big programs is connections. If we were to hire someone like the guy from Coastal Carolina, who does he bring in when all his coaches now get hired away.
Tosh Lupoi should have already been here IMO.

Vandy is down to 45 scholarship players this weekend and hasn’t won a game all season. If UT loses this game Pruitt better be fired before the sun rises Sunday morning.

What's sad is I can envision CP and Fulmer celebrating in the locker room dancing around screaming we did it ! We did it! We got another year!! If UT wins. Sad that we have come to that.
