Orgeron was always a trash hire. He’s lost everywhere he has been and was far less important to that National Championship team than most realize. He won’t be on the Bayou long. LSU didn’t even want to hire him but the players and fans did. I guess they got a Championship out of it which I’d take in a heartbeat but he was very fortunate that all those pieces lined up for him, players and coaches.

They have very serious title IV allegations against them right now. They paid an OL's father 180k, they have had multiple opt outs during the season and they may be losing a huge chunk of their FR class to the portal.

Could the SEC throw up road blocks for in conference transfers, even if NCAA passes 1 time transfer rule? You would think NCAA rules would supersede, but I bet the top half of the league doesn't want the UT, UK, MSU, etc raiding the elite rosters every year.

I have heard its Vols, UGA and GT in that order right now. Pretty good source. Not saying he is a lock or anything, but Vols are in it heavy right now.

The sec will still get to govern its own conference. So yes, the conference can still make players sit a year even if the ncaa clears 1 time transfers.
