Random question, but we only have 3 OOC games scheduled for next year. Is that normal? Will we find another opponent or try to play one of the cancelled games from this year. @LA Vol maybe you can answer?

Guys in here keep saying "3-7", but if we had just kept our schedule before COVID beating USCjr, MIZZU, Vandy and then the three OOC scrubs, we would have had 6 wins and a bowl game. Not great but likely not prompting a termination at HC either.

I think this will be part of the University's thinking when they retain CJP.

VQ recently mentioned in a pod cast that UT will add another scrub game, and it will likely be a "South Alabama" type school. But nothing had been confirmed yet.

The vandy game has nothing to with next years success under Pruitt but does have a lot to do with recruiting imo
Come on Bruin you're smarter than that. Recruiting is how you build a roster. Building a deep roster is how you win. So therefore losing recruits espically those like Brooks, Brown, Willis etcc..... means losing good players and maybe guys who contribute early. So therefore Vandy does mean success because you can't be successful without good players.

And that’s another reason why fulmer isn’t going to pull the trigger

If we hang on to Pruitt, and at this point that's bound to happen, this should be the goal..

Yurcich - OC/QB (about to be unemployed Texas)
OL - Harry Hiestand (unemployed)

RB - Graham
WR (Assoc HC) - Tee
TE - Neids/Osovet - don't care which one

DC/Safeties - Ansley
DB (recruiting coord.) - TRob (about to be unemployed at SC)
DL - Bo Davis (about to be unemployed Lions)
OLB - Tosh (about to be unemployed Falcons)
ILB - Lance Thompson (currently at FAU, would crawl to Knoxville)

I’m saying the outcome of the vandy isn’t deciding Pruitt future next season.
If he wins 7 games he’s here another year

If we lose to vandy we might lose another recruit or two which would hurt 2-3 down the road

Are you kidding me?!?

PS Plus had live SEC games a couple years ago. I've not been on PS in a while but the boys still have access. Does Playstation still broadcast games or is there another option to see it live?

That’s a pretty big assumption given the product they have trotted out onto the field so far.

Probably 4 wins. Troy, Charlotte, Furman, Vandy....maybe 5 with South Carolina. That game could have gone either way. Playing Mizzou later in the season and they beat us.

I would assume at some point we will have to make up the trip to Oklahoma, don't see them just coming to Knoxville without a return trip.

Even if you go full benefit of the doubt and give us the Mizzou win, you're still talking just 6 wins. It would still have been a regression from last season. And I'm not convinced that Charlotte early in the season would be a sure thing.

I can definitely get on board for this.

Why would any of these coaches come to a place where a coach is about to be fired though
