I will also add without giving my opinion on the hire itself..... I understand Pruitt wanted to hire Hugh as OC before Cheney. I don't know how the commissioner felt about it but I think the University was the ones that wouldn't clear it. I have heard a story behind that to but I honestly don't know if any of it is true. But we all know if Saban wanted him on his staff....it would happen. I just don't think we will have a HC opening anyway.

Read the article, it clearly states that he does when dealing with coaches who have broken NCAA and conference rules. You can't even get it right when it's clearly documented.

As long as Will Wade is coaching in the SEC, I put very little stock into what Sankey has to say about this matter.

What do you think consult means and why wasn't he hired by Alabama or Auburn as OC for the '19 season. You think Sankey just told Saban I wish you would not hire him and Saban agreed to that? You guys are ridiculous in thought sometimes, you're just negative all the time.

#1, Saban didn’t need Freeze, Freeze needed Saban. So it’s highly possible that Sankey did tell Saban that it was a bad look and Saban went along with it.
#2, Auburn runs Gus’s offense and Freeze wants to run his offense. So it’s not out of the question that Freeze didn’t want to jump aboard.
I don’t know if any of this is right or wrong, I’m just playing devils advocate.

It wouldn’t take that much. 5 years would get it done too. He would take a contract with some robust incentives and that should be an option UT should look at. Win Win

You’re not paying attention to what he’s doing at Liberty and you’re pretending like what he presumably did at Ole Miss in recruiting isn’t par for the course in the SEC. We’ll never win without “cheating” in recruiting. Fulmer paid guys too.

I think you could get Freeze for about half that. Dude wants back in the SEC. 4.5 a year for 5 years? He'd be here tomorrow.

9 million a year guaranteed for 7 years? He ain't that good, and I want him here. That's more than some coaches who've won NCs make.
