That’s an easy read.. I see why he’s pist. It’s 3rd and 11, AT made the wrong read. Even if that dude catches it in the flight he still has to run 11 yards.

That’s the problem with our guys, the situational awareness is non existent. Which reverts back to coaching.
2 other times on 3rd down the RB ran that wheel out the backfield in that same look and caught that for first downs. If he stays with that WR and they hit the back, it’s a first down again.
It’s a bad call on defense, considering what they’ve been doing all game.

My question is why is Safety still holding the hash. If you are teaching pattern matching like Saban does, he should already be on the Corner route.
You’re absolutely right. That’s why I asked “where he at doe” in my first post.
22 was 2 steps too late all game. He hasn’t made that play all season. But we still roll him out there and call this defense

I might be in the minority but I like the touch that Bailey puts on the ball. He throws a catchable ball I am sure the receivers appreciate more than a fastball from short distance. Anticipation and throwing the receivers open is more important anyways in college. If you go back to Danny Wuerfell he had one of the weakest arms out there but he threw players open and could anticipate the cuts better than anyone else. Receivers would turn around and the ball was there waiting on them.

If the only positive thing you can say about us in year 3 is that we play hard, well, that says everything.

I don’t know what Hugh’s ceiling is, but I feel strongly that his floor is higher than Pruitt’s ceiling here. Make the move
if you add up all the 'well, that says everything's this board has thrown out the last few weeks (which I agree with most of them) then I think we have a case for firing with cause :p

Hypothetical question: if you found out Tennessee was working on a deal with Scott Satterfield, how would you react to that?
He just turned down South Carolina
I like his offense, but would be concerned about defense and recruiting
His OC is Dewayne Ledford. Ledford is former NFL lineman and he is a very good offensive line coach. Oline plays better than their stars. Satterfield calls plays

Those wheels weren’t underneath a corner route. They cleared that side then ran a pick route to clear it completely out. I completely agree that it’s a bad call based on our skill level.

Either way, I legitimately want to know who is calling the secondary, there’s so much hand signaling going on it makes me wonder if the guys are making adjustments based on the look without Pruitt or Ansley making the call. I think that’s what’s leading to so many alignment issues.

Like I was passing a kidney stone. Actually passing the kidney stone may be less painful. But that’s the kind of stuff TN would try and pull.

I look at Pruitt like Sal Sunseri. Great LB coach that didn't translate into a great DC.
Pruitt was a great DC that didn't translate to a great HC. Experiment over. Get someone in here with head coaching experience. Warming up to Chadwell if Freeze is too controversial.

No on Chadwell. Just no.

We need proven winners in P5 and/or SEC play. No more gambles on up and comers.

Gonna have to disagree. 3rd and 11 and you're going to play hard flat coverage? AT has got to play soft there. Get depth and play from the sticks down. Pruitt wasn't wrong. The call was fine. AT should've gave em that flat route and went and made a tackle. Now, having a 3rd year CB making that mistake is a different issue, and falls back on poor coaching.
