Some talk that tonight there may be a schedule shift where A&M comes to Knoxville this week instead of us playing at vandy.

They just officially switched to vandy on Friday. I don’t see that changing again as it appeared they were waiting a few weeks to make sure that’s the best route

We don’t quit but a lot of guys out there don’t seem to play hard or with passion/swagger. UF looked like a team having a lot of fun. We looked scared
I didnt get that at all. We looked out of place, not making right calls, and overly reliant on our backs to make plays. This team just doesnt have the overall team speed to run RPO or halfback passing game, and, you can run that play every time. You have to stretch the field. Not having your #2, 3, and 4 qbs ready, in ANY capacity, is terrible. Not having your QB guru coaching QB's or a former National champion QB coaching WR's when our QB development has been in life support for three years is striking. Offenses have to be multiple. I know coaches are just as frustrated as all us fans, and, I think we've been pretty patient.

Here's the rub(s) for me. You're a defensive guy. Understand what it takes to have modern defense. The way you coached em up in 2000 may not work now. Speed. We have none, anywhere.

Recruiting. So you say youre a recruiting guru, great. Where's the talent, the speed? I know we have some. It isnt being used and when it is it isnt used in any sort of meaningful manner. Our defense is slow, very slow.

Talent development. Sigh.

I like these coaches as ive stated, and yes we looked better. But, im not so sure i like that product.

Pruitt says he wants a bigger back to run PA in Pro Set with passes to TE. Thats great, all in. Yet all i see is SG, Pistol RPO, with occasional passes to the 1st down marker or swing passes, run, run, throw 30 yard, miss.

It's just...effed up. Ive tried to be positive. how do you defend the indefensible?

I was wondering. If the Vandy game is cancelled, ans our coaches and another team wanted to play could we add them? I'm thinking Ole Miss, Miss St someone we didn't play this year.

it was his first true opportunity to show himself. Florida’s defense is bad but Grantham had them moving and shifting a lot early on to try and trick bailey. Later in the game they went really conservative and started playing a soft shell but all in all i thought he looked like he belonged which is all you can ask for. Especially in this crap scheme we call offense right now.

He didn’t get terribly fooled and make bad mistakes, he moved well in the pocket, he picked up yards with his legs, he showed touch on his passes... etc. I’m not really sure what else you could ask for

Key thing here is..He’s no Nathan peterman and that alone makes me happy..as a freshman he managed the game better and took care of the ball better than a Sr QB who apparently gave us the best chance to win..doesn’t seem like that’s the case anymore 🙏🏽 They need to open it up for Bailey.

Yea it may not happen. I’m cool with getting the beating over with tho if it gets school teacher Pruitt out earlier.

It appears to the SEC did a great job of keeping teams from traveling back to back weeks. That’s why ole miss Travels to A&M this week and not A&M to Knoxville

If there are no covid cancellations this week I think the SEC did a hell of job keeping the integrity of schedules together

I'm a fan of Bailey and I think he's the future. But I want to see more of Shrout. He's got a cannon and got the ball out quick. Kinda reminded me of a rough Tyler Bray.
Again, UF was allowing the under, and had second and third string out.

Shrout has most experience between him and Bailey. Not a surprise he was throwing better. He does have some better intangibles, but, I still think as a Frosh, Bailey has higher ceiling.

I just think though, this offense will never be a modern, high scoring offense. Time to reinvent the wheel here. It's really quite frankly, stale.

Florida wasn’t playing their backups

I sure hope not. At this point every game is another opportunity for future committs to look at our staff and realize they're a joke.
