No turnovers was key for me. I know there was a near pick by Elam, i think but if JG has a similar zero TO line we win more games. Auburn, Ark, UK of course come to mind. HB showed what Pruitt bragged about with JG in his first year. Why he decided that those traits no longer mattered is his demise.

Is it too much to ask to just have an average offense?

More than 60 of the 127 NCAA Division I FBS programs playing football this season average more than 30 points per game. Tennessee barely averages 20.

More than 60 teams in FBS football average more than 400 yards of total offense per game. Tennessee averages less than 340

I thought he was poised, I thought he had some nerves at the beginning but he's a freshman who had bench work all season and that should not have been the case. I don't think Pruitt gives HB the best chance to be successful. That's a complete indictment on Pruitt, not HB.

Several assistant coaches are not developing players. That’s a under statement.
He thinks we have 2 QB’s that can play, Strout and Bailey. I tend to agree. Yes, Strout played against a base defense, but I also saw the team pick up their level of play when he was in the game.
Matthews also said that Pruitt had to decide that if he was going to be a head coach or a game day coach. Trying to do to much as a DC and DL coach.

Yes it was a waste of time this morning as he also parroted the Johnny Majors comparison that his buddy PF gave him. 🤮

I think this is more of Malzahn scheme. It’s always boom or bust with Malzahn. Plus Freeze made terrible QB look good. I’m not Freeze or blow it up just think that’s some of the issue

I seriously turned the TV off after he pulled Bailey. I can’t remember doing that before. I’m glad Shrout played well but Bailey is the future. He was in there getting experience. Pulling him sends a message to young players. I am still baffled by this move.

Please end this misery Fulmer

Honestly. Shrout played really well and deserves the start over Bailey next week. Bailey did a lot of things right but he isn't the guy yet.

18 has been battling a hammy all year, so he mightve tweaked but felt ok to play. 12 said post-game his shoulder popped in practice but you can play through a torn labrum if he can handle the pain

I really don’t get why he did that unless he has no plans to play HB anymore.

Otherwise those reps would have been useful for him.

In addition to being 10-0 and winning everywhere he went, dude looks like Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights. I'm sold.

Not really if it was crushed he wouldn't have played well in the 4th. Im guessing coaches were iffy on the health of his shoulder and wanted to get HB reps against the ones. Thing is a lot of what HB needs to work on can be fixed in practice, but JT has the bigger arm and much better feel for the shot plays. If he can play and throw a few of those a game that opens up the run game for ty and eg
