As for who is worst of the past three, that's honestly a tough one. Butch's ineptitude was kind of tempered by having a special college QB in Dobbs. That 4-8 season was horrible. Dooley was at least funny and could put up some points, but he was the most entitled and arrogant of the three, especially when the camera was off. Pruitt is just clueless. That's not on him, that's on whoever determined that he was qualified to be THFCATUTK. Who can blame him for taking a position for 10x or more what most of us could ever imagine making?

Dooley was competent and organized but overthought everything and didn't care much about relationships in-state. Managed to turn having former players return to the facility into a controversy. He wanted to have Nick Saban authority without Nick Saban results or acumen.

Butch cared a lot about "looking the part" and knew how to talk but didn't care much after the kids signed. Had Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara (and Josh Dobbs) on the same team and couldn't do crap with them. Sensitive and emotional. Dobbs heaves it and he can't control his emotions. Yelled "eff 'em" at the crowd during a game. Ran off and hid behind Nick Saban's khakis doing administrative work for three years while he cashed Tennessee's checks, so he was petty to boot.

Pruitt I have no idea. Seems the most football oriented. Perhaps to a fault - I've seen several high performers in my time who were the best at what they did but struggled with management and in particular micro-managing subordinates. Does not seem to be as stupid as people make fun of him for being, but he has typical southern stubbornness and does not seem to be handling the pressure very well. I have no -- NO -- earthly idea how he let the quarterback situation get to this point.

None of them seem to be the answer. No idea what will be. Not really expecting much, either.

The only answer that makes sense to me is to stop hiring "projects." Open the checkbook and get a winner. There are a couple of them out there this season, too.

I wish he'd follow Butch back to Alabubba. I'm done with this guy. He is in over his head and it's beyond obvious. We have too much talent to look the inept. This is the worst season I've ever seen. Didn't think 2017 could be topped. Boy was I wrong. End this nightmare now. You're delusional if you believe giving Pruitt another season will pay off.

There’s no doubt what he’s saying makes sense but this is just hard to watch. You know you can teach a quarterback not to stare down corners and safeties, you can teach a guy how play the right technique in man coverage but if they don’t execute, then you get beat. Unfortunately for coaches, players that don’t execute cost you your job. It’s been a disaster and if there was a way to bring in freeze next year then it should happen quickly.

He literally just said that 90 percent of the snaps UT played at “ upper tier level”, as in Alabama-good. So, of our 66 defensive snaps, 59 we were playing championship level football? Of our 76 offensive snaps, we played nearly 70 of those at championship level?

Since the picture of Phil has been posted...
My wife and I were watching together (something we rarely do as she gets very emotional and says I don't show enough...lol) and anyways, she looks over at me and says "You know, that man looks like his heart is breaking."

To put this in context, my wife has only been following the Vols for a few seasons...I had to explain to her who Phil is and what he means.

Then it hit me...he does look as if his heart is just being torn right out. Is it because he's in a spot that he can do nothing about this year?

It’s because his BS extension to this clown Pruitt, might likely cause him to be fired TWICE. TWICE. TWICE for failure of performance
