Tried to hold out for some hope in the beginning of the game. Then the old demons of apathy, low skills and the joy of losing showed up again.

Do you still wear your TN merch? Does it embarrass you at all?

I am not remotely embarrassed to wear my UT gear.

That being said, its more as a source of irony and humor than pride in the program any more to be honest however.

I wear my TN merchandise with pride. My excuse has always been that all football programs go through ups and downs when talking with rival teams. The reality has become that we continue the down years EVERY SINGLE HIRE. I will always be a TN fan. I have degrees from there. Ready for Basketball season to start. However, it really would be great to enjoy football again!

I will always be a Tennessee fan. But I’m done caring, I’m done putting the game on saturdays before I put anything else. I’m done buying tickets and such. I’ve been going to games my entire life, season tickets etc even through the Dooley and Butch years. This is my final straw though, i am done

I wear mine but all you get it are people shaking their heads and my having to say, hey, we're a basketball school

Yes. For starters I've invested too much darn $$$ on merch, plus i don't wanna be accused of being an frontrunner as well. The moment when we're relevant again,i dont want to be accused of being an bandwagoner.

I hate that Covid is happening. I could’ve gotten free beers out of pity if I wore Tennessee gear at a bar.

At this rate, Pruitt is likely to receive another two year extension. What say you Uncle Phil?

If you ladies have stopped wearing your orange g strings....I digress. In good times or bad, we are Vols. We are the best of the best and we should be proud. We are not always going to have a winning football team, but show some testicles and back your team. I'd like to smack the lot of ya for talking this way.

Immediately drink some whiskey and recant your posts.

I remembered that it was Saturday and Tennessee might be playing, but did not stop doing the things I was doing. Even took a nap. There was no decision to not watch the game. I thought about checking on it. I just just didn't. First time that has happened in many years, decades.
