Neverending MBRO memory thread

So, btw, on that post I made over in the say something about the poster above you thread....the wearing the pants one....I can't claim credit for that one, but I'm going to tell the kid I used it on here
That came from a student in class yesterday. We were talking about idioms, slang, jargon, euphemisms, and the like.
So this kid (parents are split and remarried) says I feel like an idiot now. I asked why. He said well my granddad (mom's dad) asked me the other day who wears the pants in that family my dad or his new wife. He then said I had never heard that before and said they both wear pants but not the same size. HAHAHA
The juniors part was my contribution.
It's really crazy the idioms and expressions we think everyone knows sometimes.
Edit: We had a Vietnamese exchange student a few years back who had never heard the expression "on the tip of my tongue." She was really confused. HAHA
