So who starts Saturday?

HB will start, he'll look rough in the first 2 series and then he'll be replaced by JG.

Or...

JG starts...we keep the game relatively close in the first half like we have the last several games, and then in the second half when UF scores 35 unanswered, HB will replace him when the snaps are absolutely meaningless.

It'll be one of those 2 scenarios.

Or UF comes out and blows us off the field early. Which tends to happen a lot when we play them. All they have to do is throw the slant every play.
Or HB comes out and we put together scoring drives at a rate we haven’t seen since Rocket Scientist was here.

Could happen. But its doubtful.

Had HB had a spring practice and normal fall camp I firmly believe he'd have taken over for JG earlier in the year. The relatively small sample size we've seen of him, you can tell he has not had enough time. Now, I still say play him regardless, because if you're going to get freshman mistakes from the QB position, get them from a freshman...at least we have something we are building towards with him in there.

I just hope they don't pull the trigger on him after a mistake or 2. Its gonna happen. Happens to them all.

Why was Bailey recruited? If not to use his skills. Likely, he’ll go to NFL after junior season. Put him in there!

We're talking about Pruitt here.. If JG practiced any this week and is healthy, he will start.

Bailey is WORTHLESS to the NFL without at least a start at the P5 level. Don't be ridiculous.

With that logic, JG goes in an early round, since he was good enough to start ahead of BH.

Yikes......JG will be selling cars or insurance, but not in the NFL. And if Bailey can't replace him, he might be a school crossing guard or Walmart security.

Reality. Practice squad work doesn't pay well.

If he's not ready to play the whole game, at least rotate him in and out. Let him alternate with somebody to start gaining experience, with lots of coaching between drives.

At this point in the season unless he throws 4 picks in the first half, I play him and don't take him out. But a good coach won't put him in a position to throw 4 picks, especially with the way we've been running the ball.

Nfl practice squad probably makes more than most of our jobs do.

I am also going to be watching the defense for big improvements. They were very sloppy vs. Auburn. To To played his worst game of the year.
Sloppy, yet only gave up 23 points, at Auburn, to a decent offense.

Trying to decide if I want to watch the game...

Who starts at QB will decide if I watch or finish my lesson planning for the year..

Who is the starter?

I'll hang up and listen.

Even if it is Bailey, the second he makes a mistake he will be pulled for Guarantano, which just further sets back his development, not letting him “play through it” to find his rhythm.
