It is rare nowadays I can sing praises for USA TODAY (Gatehouse/Gannett). For years, the paper was a valuable addition to journalism.

Why? The NCAA is a bloated out of date organization that serves no real purpose anymore. My opinion of course.

Agree with that. Biggest racket in the college world.

I don't agree with removing football and making it an entity of its own. That doesn't solve the inherent problems of the NCAA.

If you want change in the NCAA, the P5 and G5 schools plus Notre Dame need to lay the law down to said NCAA and basically set the terms rather than the other way around. They depend on the revenue the DoD bring in, not the middle man sending them a check.
