Every time you spend money on it, you say it. Sign up for an economics class and it will make more sense to you.Ridiculous to think that anyone accepts and wants to stay mediocre and I doubt there is a single fan on here that feels that way. I've never heard a single person on here claim that so I call BS on you saying it's happening.
There's no bandwagon, there are only die hards left. Burn those bridges and you're left with a Vandy fanbase. No offense but this is about as myopic a post as I've seen here. We're here complaining because we care, what you really need to worry, and think about, is what happens when enough people stop caring....... And what that means. Why do so many fans have to be fair weather fans and only support a program when they are winning? I think if you are a VFL you will support this team and program no matter how many games they win.
You're labeled a NegaVol too, it's not hard to spot you guys.Any supposed "fairweather" Tennessee fan would have long since abandoned hope. We happen to be the hardiest, most long-suffering, potentially deluded bunch in all of college football. Nega-Vol and Sunshine Pumper alike all have hope for a better day...we just disagree on how we get there. We are the Yin and Yang of Tennessee Football. The Republicans and Democrats. We need each other.
And occasionally we get a SUPERFAN like PVF, and the Universe gets all out of balance.
You know what the sad part is, I'm 99% sure the OP was trolling to have fun but pulaski took it hook, line and sinker. Pretty sure you made him cry, maybe send a Christmas card?
TN football economics have been top 10 for the last 40 years so I don't need an economic class for it to make sense. As a matter of fact, I'd love for all the NegaVols to move on somewhere else and let's just see how much it impacts us economically. I doubt it would even make a dent.Every time you spend money on it, you say it. Sign up for an economics class and it will make more sense to you.

I tell you what hasn't worked in awhile, ever since the advent of the internet our NegaVol attitude of always attacking coaches and players is not working! Social media has fractured our fanbase and all the NegaVols negativity has accomplished absolutely squat. Go back and watch some of Saban's early press conferences at Bama when he basically told the negative faction of their fanbase to go to he!!, that the team simply didn't need them around to be successful. I think it's long past time for our AD, head coach, administration and VFL fans to tell the NegaVols to move on, their way of moaning, groaning and acting like 5th grade children is doing absolutely nothing to help the program. It worked at Bama, it worked in the movie Hoosiers during the team introductions to the school and I think it's time we try it. Go find a new hobby NegaVols.
I am not aware of any fans that I know that have abandoned the Vols because they suck right now. I'm still a fan. Fans will criticize teams when they are down, because they care. "Fair weather" fans wouldn't even be on this board, they would be on Bama or Clemson boards. Why do so many fans have to be fair weather fans and only support a program when they are winning? I think if you are a VFL you will support this team and program no matter how many games they win.
Did you go back and listen to the press conferences. Pull up the time on Finebaum he told all the negative fanbase to f=$& off. You obviously don't think that fans being negative jerks matter, probably means that you like folks that are chuckle heads. You're on here just to antagonize folks for kicks anyway so why would you care what some fan thinks of our NegaVol fanbase. You're quite ridiculous..
You want to know what works at bama? Saban actually being a great coach, not telling off the fan base...
The only reason the bama fans put up with him is because he's so damn good at his job...
No negative speech. No dissenting opinion. Get in line, or else.... Siund familiar?
Oh... I'd say there are a couple more groups.Anyone who identifies as Tennessee fan after the last decade can by no stretch of the imagination be lableled fairweather. There are two camps of Vols,
the NegaVols and the OptiVols. I think you are mistaking the NegaVols for fairweather.
Maybe you should come up with a quality take of our football program to debate rather than the same old simple 5th grade thoughts many of us had decades ago when we were in the 5th grade.
All valid points except for your sports predictions as we've no idea what will happen the rest of the way, why play the games when all we have to do is predict who wins? I don't think anyone is happy with the truths you stated, I'm certainly not.Ok, here's a quality take in no particular order.
- We've had 5 straight double digit losses. Florida will be our 6th and Texas A&M will be our 7th. Vandy isn't an automatic win.
- One of those double digit losses was to a Kentucky...at home.
- Georgia State loss
- Offense has regressed
- Defense has regressed
- Top recruits are starting to de commit
- Tension on the coaching staff over pay cuts
I think it's more of not wanting to support a team who's coaches and AD doesn't care about winning. I'd be much happier with losses if the players had grit, didn't look lost on the field, and we didn't lose by double digits every week. It's blatantly obvious that Pruitt and some assistants are inept. Just because some of us point this out, does not mean we're not VFL's and don't support the program. Is it not concerning to you, as a fan to have witnessed TN as a dumpster fire for the last 15yrs or that we're looking at a 3-7(at most) season? Why do so many fans have to be fair weather fans and only support a program when they are winning? I think if you are a VFL you will support this team and program no matter how many games they win.
