I would hire Mason. I wouldn't touch Muschamp.

Not sure what role would be best for Mason but I think he's a good football coach. His teams competed in spite of being undermanned almost all the time.

Muschamp has a good history as DC. Why would you avoid him...attitude/demeanor???

Exactly...kicking a football is entirely different than kicking a round soccer ball.

Saw the Pat Mcafee show last week and he explained it very well...the mechanics required such as foot placement, knee bend, etc. are different from a soccer style kick to a football kicker. Hell, he even brought up the great point that is why FB teams have a punter and a place kicker because even the mechanics there are different.

For one, I'm glad she didn't get a shot at a PAT or FG, because it likely would have ruined a very historic moment.
Historic moment for what? To show that women have no place on a football field?

I think Mason would do well at most schools other than Vandy. He showed he can coach.

Pretty much. Mostly ego. Partly because I think his unlikability has been part of his problem as a HC.
It is a fine line to walk, isn't it? Some of the attributes which come across as confident leadership can turn to ego and arrogance once it goes too far. I don't know enough about him one way or the other but I know he doesn't walk the line like Saban does (very few do).

Muschamp can make $1.5 million a year or more as a coordinator and still collect his full buyout. His contract did not contain any offset language so he gets the full buyout regardless of the salary at his next job. Pretty sure the same would be true for Pruitt if he were to be fired.
None of that is true.

He is a terrible DC. He has not done a good job since he left Auburn and went to Texas.

His defenses at Florida (after Dan Quinn left), Auburn (the 2nd time) and USCe were terrible. His DBs NEVER tackle. they try and strip the ball and the WR picks up an extra 10 yards.

I don't think it means anything if we don't land one. If we do land one, I think it's a sign we have talent and they see potential in our roster and overall unit potential. I'll be watching, but not very closely.

Isn't it inevitable that they'll be on this staff? At least Muschamp?
