Josh Palmer quote on Harrison Bailey (could mean Bailey starts?)

It doesn't matter. The staff has already jacked up his mechanics. Go watch his high school film and then look at his limited time with us lately....looks just like JG
So glad we have a QB mechanics & footwork expert on our message board! Do tell more!!!!

It's not just Palmer. Hyatt keeps singing Bailey's praises as well. They aren't going to throw JG under the bus, but they sure do like talking about Bailey.

When your top 2 WRs keep talking about how great your Freshman backup is, that's a pretty strong hint, isn't it?

I hope it is!

I heard Pruitt was a fantastic Head Coach. I will believe it when I see it.

He is a fantastic coach and in case you didn't know, JG gives Tenn the best chance to win! (which is about the same chance as winning the Mega lottery).

Man, if we could come out and beat Florida with HB, holy cow with that be something to see. It would stem the bleeding from our recruiting class and give our whole program and fanbase new life.

Pruitt is coaching for his life this week. A 30-28 win over UF would stop the bleeding at least for a week. Stranger things have happened. Just not much stranger.

No offense to you personally, but I've seen the "throwing him to the wolves" comment on here about every rumor of him starting a game since Kentucky. And that includes Arkansas.

I think some of you guys see wolves everywhere, in everything, all the time. Florida isn't ranked #6 because of their defense. He will be fine
I know he’ll be fine. My point was basically he should have started a long time ago

I'm pretty sure Bailey knew Florida was on our schedule when he committed, and the coaches took him. If he's scared, or them, to be ready to face them, or anybody, he shouldn't be here anyway.

Exactly! If you're a young player you pray for these situations to come your way.

I actually think Bailey looks a little hefty, like maybe he could slim up a tad. That’s not saying he’s fat, he just looks maybe a little too bulky.

By the way, I said the same thing about Kyle Trask last year. He lost about 15lbs in the offseason heading into this year. I can’t say that it’s made him any faster but he sure seems to be moving and sliding in the pocket better.

Has worked with scout team for Chicago Bears, activated at least once when one of the two regular QBs was injured, don't recall him ever taking a snap in a regular season game.

Played a few weeks ago against Vikings when Foles got hurt.

Problem is that Pruitt said one of the qb had covid. If that is the only reason Bailey were to start, jg will be back, watch and see. Regardless of how well Bailey plays; jg will be back. If Bailey almost makes a mistake, jg will be back, and Lord forbid if he fumbles or throws an int. Jg will be back.

I'd really like to think we could win, but I don't see it.

Even if Harrison Bailey plays great and puts up, say 31 or 28 or 35 points (well above where we've been most of the season), Florida still probably hangs 40+ on us. Tough to go from 13 and 17 points up to 45-50 overnight.

Feel like our only shot is if Florida plays it's worst game of the season and turns the ball over a few times. And Bailey plays incredible on top of that.

I have been saying this since the last half of the Ga. game, when jg really screwed up, and it sucked the life out of the team. We have not played anywhere near as good since then, it affected the defense as well, the whole team. This shows these players know who should be starting.

If we score more than 17 points it will show improvement. If we score 30 a great improvement, which in turn will ignite the whole team.

I'm just excited to finally get to see Harrison Bailey play when it means something. It's so disappointing seeing JG walk out.

It really is disappointing. UT football has been boring and underwhelming these last few years with JG.
