You were all over Freeze for OC last year. You and I went around and around about it. Sankey didn't want Freeze back in the SEC and it was a no-go with Fulmer, but you went on and on that he was Pruitt's guy and UT was working it out. It was always a non-starter. Carry on.

My stance was that Pruitt wanted freeze as his OC 1st choice and got shutdown. I trust my people. You trust yours. Is what it is.

Fairly easy to interpolate this from a statement by AV a little over a week ago paired with the Volswire interview with Freeze when he was being discussed as a possible OC candidate. Only question is who vetoed it....

Big fan of him previous to his Texas hire...was always on an upper arc. One thing about this job is sometimes you can have TOO MUCH of what you need and if you falter then the repercussions are magnified.

That's a great point. Phil Steele bases his "rebound teams" in any given year on such logic. Herman has also won some close games too, including 3 this year (Texas Tech, Oklahoma St, West Virginia).

However, I imagine a Texas fan wanting to run Herman out of town would retort by saying games against teams like TCU this year, Iowa St this year and last year, Maryland in 2018, etc., shouldn't be close in the first place, and that he should have progressed the program to a point where he is comfortably beating those teams.

I’m sitting a school zone now with two deer rifles, a shotgun pistol And lots of ammo. Wonder if i am committing felony weapon charges..

The Maryland upsets in back to back seasons had to be sobering.

Well it’s confirmed by looking on the Knox county jail website. So far today you’ve enlightened us about a fight you say happened between cade and Trey and now you’ve got the inside track on law enforcement in Knoxville too. Trying a little hard for insider status dude

Yeah, I didn't even mention anything from his first season, but that first Maryland upset was in his very first game. And it isn't like that was against some good Maryland team...they finished 4-8.

So him (or anyone else) not constantly posting how bad the coach is, how badly you want him to be fired, not being gleeful over bad news, etc., means he's excited about our season and praising CJP? Why does it have to be one or the other?

This post proves his point. An unemotional approach that's not hate-filled isn't tolerated.

That’s why I lurk anymore for my info. I’m getting tired of being berated for trying to enjoy my life and be a happy person. I live & breathe that power T as well but holy hell some are way too emotionally charged. There’s like 5 posters I truly enjoy here. Maybe 7

He did say that. But you were not supposed to actually believe he meant it.

A fired old coach protecting a soon to be fired young coach at the expense of the good of the program.
