If the previous 2 or 3 coaching searches taught me anything its that there are no insiders on here, especially those who spoke of Gruden. No offenseNo offense to anybody because I’m a fan with no connections and no pull/clout. My opinions are crappy at best and my speculation is lacking. But I don’t believe any of y’all. Too many versions from too many sources. I know this cuts you deeply that a nameless, faceless, random person doubts the “inside” info, but please understand I appreciate the entertainment value just as much as if it were actual fact.
I don’t doubt the connections nor the intentions. Those are genuine. There are just too many angles. Maybe they are all the same stories from different perspectives. Either way:

I am curious to see who’s version is closest to the truth though. I’m rooting for each of you!
Honestly can’t blame them.Irrelevant late Dec games were always iffy. The schools have had calls and with COVID flare-ups putting players in protocol and other players considering opting out, more games will be cancelled. The timing of UT-aTm makes it prime for cancellation unless aTm needs a statement beat-down to impress the committee before Selection Sunday.
Not many teams have a lot left to play for. Players are tired of the protocols and some just want to go home.
He'll score points imo, but what he's done at Texas (never winning the conference) he did with the 2nd/1st? most talented team in their conference. He would be moving to a team about 7th most talented and 3rd in its own division (granted talent differences outside Bama/UGA aren't that huge...but that's still 2 annual opponents). Still concerning he has done less with more though. You’ve convinced me. I’m fine with Herman if we can’t get Freeze. Who knows, maybe he does better here because of lessons he learned there. I just want relevancy
I’m sure quick to point out red flags well this is a “green flag” for Pruitt
The upperclassmen aren’t mailing it inI don't disagree, but if the upperclassmen are mailing it in that still reflects poorly on them.
Yup.It's been a thing that Texas HS players have peaked in HS.
If he was fired from here, he wouldn't get his full salary as though he was still working. He'd get his buyout, which he has no responsibility to mitigate.I asked him and he stated that the “double dip” comment meant he would get paid full salary here while making another full salary from whoever hires him.
