The last 30 seconds on the first half against auburn is the worst coaching job I’ve ever seen. I’m still trying to figure out why with 13 seconds from our own 44 we run a flat route to move up to our own 49. Why not take two shots to the end zone? Or run a play to get in FG range and spike the ball after a first down.

Yep, he won't be overwhelmed. He has started since he was 14 in high school, played top 5 and top 25 high school teams nationally, played on national tv multiple times, and won a state title which the whole town was counting on because it had been 50 years.

Those teams had a combined 10 offensive points in the first half. Defense hasn’t been as bad as people make them out to be. Only feels that way because the offense puts them in a bad spot by giving the other team a short field or by continually having drives stall out/3 and outs, then they get exposed in the second half from being on the field too much.

I agree.

The whole team will play better, with better QB play. It's human nature to not try as hard, if one of your team leaders continues to screw you over, without consequences. If I was on this team and I kept seeing my 5th year Senior QB throw TDs to the other team, I'd be discouraged too. JG is the worst starter on this team and should've been replaced weeks ago. I really think we'll have our best game this weekend. I also think Bailey can be the leader this team has been starving for. I hope he can handle the responsibility.

This has been confirmed by two people. One on the strength staff and the other a coach at Catholic. Trey was putting up BLM posters in the locker-room. Cade came in and saw it and told him we support you but you can't hang those in here. Words were said and supposedly Cade whooped his ass. Could explain why we have played so poorly if the team and locker-room is divided.

Stories like that, if true, only matter on a losing team. If we were winning, stuff like that isn't an issue; it just rolls off your back. On a losing team, people are pissed/frustrated, looking for fights, etc., and stuff like that happens.

If we are stuck with Pruitt and he makes massive staff changes, would you take Bielema as a DC? He was actually really good at that at Wisconsin. His teams there and at Arkansas were always physical.

I went down a youtube rabbit last night and stumbled across a video of Harrison Bailey slinging it up the field when he was 8.

I'm just flabbergasted that they wasted so much time trying to resurrect JG.

Why do people think Herman would succeed here but not Tx? I think he is a good coach but it’s a very similar situation at TX as it is TN in a worse conference. It’s also in a place where he had recruiting connections in that region. He wouldn’t have those connection in SEC country. I personally think TX is being premature with letting him go based on a year like this but I think they also see an issue with AM and LSU and potentially now Arkansas using SEC ties against them so you have to have a game changer in Urban. I would not fire Herman without for sure having Urban. Urban loves retiring from a scandal then finding a weak conference to prey on for quick rebuild. Surprised he doesn’t wait on USC but he really hates Herman for snitching on him.
