Well, I certainly hope so...but at this point, I'll believe it when I see it...and even then, it is a two-step process that UTK apparently cannot complete.

1. Fire the coach when it needs to be done and don't wait "one more year"

2. Spend the money and hire a proven commodity as HC instead of continuing to waste the money on buyouts.

The day our admin, boosters, money men, AD, etc. can all get on the same page and do all this will be the day we are all pulling the same way and can get out of this hole we have dug.

You are probably right because to be honest that is what got CPF fired the first time is his inability to make change when it is needed but time will tell.

you gotta be nuts if you think we're dumping pruitt before signing day. guys are definitely jumping ship if they lose their coach and it's an aweful season.

Correct Fulmer will not fire him this year reported on VN yesterday referencing Doug Matthews as a source. Now the money people...who knows what they are thinking?

Out admin might be cheap or just “patient.” But the current players and the recruits are not gonna wait for us to crater. Most of this class committed without officially visiting. They will either not sign, or transfer ASAP once the NCAA allows a one time transfer (as early as this Jan). That’s the price to pay for keeping a coach too long.

What Fulmer could do is fire Pruitt and coach the last two games after Florida and go ahead and get the search started.

I agree 100% how a guy plays almost 40 games and has numbers that terrible and does it for a coach that didn't even recruit him it just show how unprepared Pruitt is for the job.

The last thing we need is a search. I’d select a coach (Freeze?) and get a deal in place before parting ways. That’s what Hart did when he grabbed Barnes. The problem is that Early Signing Day is BEFORE our last game of the season. I’d personally do it after Fla beats us without mercy this weekend. Otherwise, Lewis and other blue chippers sign elsewhere. And we we will have a bunch of new coaches presiding over the inevitable.

We have an AD who (and I enjoyed Fulmer's success) was too stubborn to make necessary changes on his own coaching staff until it was too late. Remember the Claw-fense (Dave Clawson)? I have no faith that he will make a change this year, especially after giving an extension. Meanwhile, we are on track to win (maybe) only 3 games for the first time since 1924.
