It is not surprising to see JG listed as the starter but the thing that stood out to me was that Bailey is listed as the third string behind BM.

Does this mean BM will come in for mop up duty (hand the ball off) when we are down by 30 with 7 mins left in the 4th?

JG will start, Pruitt isn't going to change that. In terms of the back up I don't think there's any rhyme or reason behind it

You could make the argument that JG cost Jones his job. If JG is more effective then UT probably finishes that year with 6 or 7 wins. It likely would have delayed the inevitable.... but very poor QB play that year killed any chance of having a winning season.

If Pruitt is willing to hang that millstone around his neck too.... then there's nothing any of us can do to save him.

You're reading it wrong. It's the same depth chart we've seen all year and it shows BM "or" Shrout "or" Bailey all as possible backups.

I stand corrected.

At a quick glance I over looked the multiple "or" and that it is ordered by seniority/alphabetical.

With that said the bigger issue still remains at the starter.

If he trots JG out there, I'm probably out. That means there's zero chance to even try to fight, and Pruitt doesn't care. Of course I know it's not accomplishing anything, but it will save me the torture of another blowout. I get no fun at all from watching our coach not even try, despite what he says about "our best chance to win". A blind monkey can see that JG isn't that.
