Ya'll pay any attention to what other candidate names did?

Napier hung 70 on UL Monroe....hell I don't care who you play or where, I can't for the life of me ever remember UT hanging 70 on anyone.

I just looked it up, it was September 23, 2000 against UL Monroe... (I'm pretty much positive Napier is the next HC at UT, this is a sign)
Homecoming week. I’ll never forget pomping that f’ing float.

Honestly ESD is the only reason I think Pruitt is still our HC, South Carolina should've fired Muschamp last year. They actually fired late, not early and will probably get stuck with a google name for it.

It isn't at all a secret that Fulmer has little regard for Freeze. It would be a very chilly relationship, especially right now when Fulmer is standing behind Pruitt.

And the internal friction is primarily between staff members and not between the staff and Fulmer. If staffers want less involvement from the AD, they should try winning. Losing tends to get attention all the way up the ladder.

I have been told several time Freeze and Fulmer hate each other to the point they don’t speak. Neither will have anything to do with the other. Also that Fulmer sits in on position meetings which the coaches don’t appreciate and the refusal to take pay cuts was directed more to Fulmer Any thoughts on either of these ?

Michael Oher recruitment?

Freeze was never going to happen.

Does it have to do with his time at Briarcrest? Not specifically Oher, but just in general? Or just his notoriety overall?

So is Tennessee going to play this weekend or nah? Some on the radio today have said Tennessee has number issues with rona

I mean if Fulmer wants to die on that hill then so be it

I think Fulmer thought Pruitt was sprinkled with Saban pixie dust. And Fulmer was probably driven by his own bias-- that a great coordinator could transition to a great HC, especially with his help and guidance. UT has learned a costly lesson-- this rebuild needs someone with HC experience and success. And someone who can assemble and keep an elite staff, instead of overpaying guys to underachieve.
Nick Saban couldn’t win with JG at the helm. The difference is he wouldn’t be there.

This wrong. Frost and Sumlin are safer than Pruitt.
Coaches Hot Seat 2020

If you would really like to know how we do things. I counted 12 guys on this list that we have been linked to in maybe hiring in our last 3 coaches searches and im not even counting CJP. We got to quit going this route. Time to get right and hire a real proven coach.

So............... Freeze is off the table...................... Pruitt is here next season.................. we will continue to suck bad unless the offense is able to change........ we need to pray we don't keep getting de-commits............ we need to pray our young studs who haven't gotten to play don't jump into the transfer portal..... we may win 5-6 maybe next season if every position group improves, which is a tall order...... so no upward trajectory of the program until at least two more years.... Got it...

Basketball may start the 12th.... so there's that....

Also, right or wrong, Phil still views the football program as "his" program. He thought he could groom Pruitt, both as a head coach and as a leader of an organization, to do things his way and the "Tennessee" way.

People don't seem to realize the next head coach is going to have to be able to handle Fulmer the same way Fulmer is going to have to be able to handle the new head coach.

Even if he wants the Tennessee job you don't want to be doing this the same time as Auburn. They would probably kidnap him and force him to sign a contract. This is our best chance to get someone good.
How many escorts do you think Auburn can put in the "cabin" to help sweeten the pot for Freeze :eek:

Maybe Fulmer needs to step back and not do that
