Arkansas and Maryland tonight--no dog in that fight but it's great having this many ranked teams playing so early in the season. Miss State's first game of the season tonight, will be interesting to see what Nikki does with this squad.

Also Wakes third game in three days. Same tournament. They have played really tough.

I’m excited to catch parts of MSST and Ark/MD tonight as well. I’m just so glad basketball is back! For now...

Tough defensive game between SC and Gonzaga so far. It’s been ugly at times. Gonzaga is a surprisingly physical team. They have good size and they’re ready to mix it up in the paint. Great shooters as usual.

Boston a non-factor in the first half. 4pts and 1 board. Gonzaga has done a good job denying her the basketball.

I'll admit to having a lot of respect for Banghart. Lousy 1st q. for NC, followed by outscoring HPU by 43 in just under three quarters. Three quarters of lockdown defense. I suspect the NC coach had a bit to do with that turnaround.

Charli Collier is putting up a monster performance against outmatched North Texas. 45 points and 16 rebounds. Incredibly efficient and filling it up from the FT line, 2-2 from 3 as well. She is going to be a handful when we meet. Going to require multiple defenders I’m afraid.

Watching the Kentucky game and based on comments from Coach Elzy Massengill will definitely sit this season. Edwards is looking good. Overall they look pretty average today though. They’ll obviously be a much different team with Howard and Wyatt.

I was thinking the same when I watched them. I like what I saw from Coombs, Edwards, and Owens today. They will be very good once they get Wyatt and Howard and could be scary further down the line.

Really nice stat line from Myah Taylor at MSST in a 30 pt win: 11 pts, 5 rbs, 7 asst, 4 stls and 0 tos. She also hit three triples. If she establishes herself as a scoring threat from outside and opens up the middle, I can see them beating SC and winning the SEC. MSST was bombing away from deep and had 6 players with at least 1 triple made.

Nice job by Nikki McCray in her SEC head coaching debut 👍
