What happens if Harrison Bailey transfers out after this year.

If JG stays there’s an 80% chance Maurer leaves. If he doesn’t that chance decreases significantly. In fact, the ONLY reason he’d leave anyway is if Pruitt remains. Brian likes his chances against HB in a fair competition for reasons unforeseen to the masses.

I've liked what I've seen from Bailey in regards to his processing. His mechanics are a little sloppy right now...it could be him over thinking and being hesitant. Brian can relate to that from last year. It makes his throws soft and wobbly. Accuracy looked good. Bailey with reps will be a good QB. Freshman to Freshman, Brian did look better so far imo. Much more zip on his throws than Bailey.

But Brian in limited...very limited time this season doesn't look as assertive and effective as he did at times as a freshman. That's on Pruitt. He's literally killing his future.

Right now, Bailey looks better even with his hesitant nature. That's from his carried over confidence from high competition in GA. If Pruitt stays...JG plays. Bailey will also regress.

So you're basically saying Brian is waiting for Pruitt to leave. I wouldn't gamble like that If I were him. Too many other coaches out there in college that could let Brian show his skills to mess around with what UT is doing.
Arkansas, FSU, Houston, Oregon are all good landing spots for him. Florida too. Emory Jones is less accurate than Franks was.

Even if Brian went JUCO for a year...he'd be playing and developing as a QB. Don't allow him to have faith that UT will do the right thing regardless of Pruitt.

Can you really say that after we lost to Ga St? A program with less than a decade of history?
Yes I can. I don't live in the past. There is not a program that has NEVER lost games they should have won and won big. It is just most of their fans can let it go and move on. Battered Vol syndrome won't allow many to do that.

Lol, nothing about this season can say any game is a guaranteed win. KY, ARK, say try again

I remember a pretty damn QB at UT that throwed a wobble ball and it worked out pretty good for him.

Clausen.
But if you look at Bailey's high school tape you don't see that...

It wasn't a slight against him. It's indicative of him not being comfortable yet. That's all...

HB is not a dual threat QB. But, really, neither is Trask. But, HB, and Trask, have pocket presence, and just enough mobility and poise, to move just enough to get the pass off, or scamper ahead for positive yardage. I was just as impressed with HB non throws and throw aways, as I was his completions. Changing plays, moving players, to pick up blitzers will come with time. A smart group of RB's is a big help, in recognizing and picking up blitzes. We have that.

Brees, Manning and Brady were pocket passers and knew/know how to slide or step up in the pocket. They are among the best historically for not getting sacked. Randall Cunningham was one of the best mobile Qb’s in history but was one of the most sacked Qb’s in history. It’s all about awareness on the field. I watched Bailey slide right in the pocket against Auburn , buy time and get a pass off. I thought, wow , I haven’t seen that from a Tn Qb in a long time. About four years to be exact.

The guy is very comfortable playing QB, It is all he knows. Once he learns to audible and get people lined up correctly, he's going to shred defenses. Give him a running game, and its all over but the crying.

If Pruitt is still there after this season (which I suspect he will be) that leaves a lot to consider even if JG does or doesn’t move on. There’s more than meets the eye going on and that’s why I’m not ready to say Brian has “regressed”. What I will say is when I talk to him I’m confident that Pruitt has taken the “fun” out of the game for him. I can hear it in his voice. We’ve seen him twice at this point. He was poised against Alabama and rattled against Arkansas. I have a hard time believing that HB would’ve looked any better if he’d been put in at that point of the game facing a 0 blitz vs the end when they were playing prevent and giving up the underneath. So I’m not agreeing that he’s “looked better”. My opinion is he’s been given more favorable circumstances.

Bailey isn’t getting the proper coaching.

Pruitt obviously doesn’t have a clue on how to deal with QBs.

It's time for Knoxville to have a "cold spell " if you know what I mean😎.
I think a Hugh-mungous opportunities is around the corner 🇺🇸.

God in the highest- I pray that this happens.
The Tennessee Vols haslve one of the BEST college football tradition ever. The Orange T. Neyland stadium. The Fall colors of Orange in the Smokey Mountains. The incredible players that have come through the program. The Championships and Gameday atmosphere.

It is beyond ridiculous how bad we've been for so long. And this BS with Bubba Gump Pruitt is simply unnecessary and unacceptable. Cut the losses now and get THE guy- Hugh Freeze.
