What happens if Harrison Bailey transfers out after this year.

You may be right. But I don’t think Bailey or anyone else on the roster gives them a batter chance.

This is true until we are able to stop "dumbing down" the offense to mitigate serious inadequacies of one kind or another no matter which QB it is. Until we can go full bore consistently, we are by definition limited.

If I am Maurer or Bailey, after this inexplicable year, I transfer.

It's not even a question. It's not a matter of playing time, it's a matter of an imploding program - one where your position is showing regressed skill among multiple players.

I hate it, but for me, it would not even be a question of if... just where.

This is what I believe as well. If I had any influence over those kids, I would tell them to start looking for a program that gives them a chance to develop and succeed. No way would I let a talented kid squander his potential at UT with our current coaches.

There’s a possibility that’s even more frightening than the thought of transfer.

What if he isn’t any good?

And anyone would be a fool to believe those conversations haven’t already begun no matter who we’re talking about.

I'm sure they have. It doesn't matter if JG stays or goes. UT couldn't develop JG into anything resembling competence and there is no reason to think that HB or BM wouldn't suffer the same fate.

Any kid that has the potential to play at the next level needs to be in an environment that develops them to do so. UT ain't it.

I'd say the odds are good that Pruitt will get to test his defensive guru skills against one or more of the QBs on our current roster, whether he is still tanking UT or back to DC duties elsewhere. I'd also say the odds are good that he loses that test.

I would tell any of the guys on the team that if they can find a spot on a competitive team get out while the getting is good.

Let's be honest. HB didn't even look that great and he led a TD drive...in his FIRST drive.... something JG wasn't able to do the whole game. He wasn't playing anywhere near what he could or will be going forward and yet...there we are in the endzone.

I’m an eye witness that he loses that test on a daily basis. I haven’t been to any practices this year but I do have video that gets sent to me from time to time that suggests that nothing has changed

I wouldn't blame every QB on the roster for transferring. As a matter of fact I wouldn't be upset if every QB on the roster walked into Fulmer's office and told him they were leaving. If you look at how horrible JG is and then think your HC doesn't start you because he thinks you are worse why stay?

Why would he transfer to Florida? They have two highly rated dual threat QBs already signed and another pro-style one committed. Mullen loves dual threat guys. Bailey is a million miles from that.

Yes nothing has changed. BM is at best the third best/most talented qb and will be gone after the year most likely.

Bailey isn't going anywhere. No need to freak out.

Trask is not a DT QB and he is lighting up the conference . Mullen is versatile.

Yes he will. And he'll probably have a successful career in college.

Meanwhile Jarrett Gaurantano has cemented himself as the worst QB in UT history. Congratulations...

OP step away from the ledge. Bailey would be an idiot to transfer. He has a crappy QB in front of him. He will be our starter. He just needs to be able to read the defensive set better. That will come with time. Just because some of the insane people THINK we were going to lose to Vandy doesn't mean we will. Fans should be made fun of for freaking out about Vandy. The game getting bumped this weekend had nothing to do with us. It was about everyone trying to get in as many games as they can this year. Mizz was not going to be able to do that if they didn't play this weekend. We have time to make up the Vandy game. Hope this helps with your panic attack.

Can you really say that after we lost to Ga St? A program with less than a decade of history?
