Lets step back from the ledge a bit, it's entirely possible we're forced to cancel these two games while Coach Barnes and others recover and then the season can carry on afterwards normally. Tomorrow is the last day of classes so a lot of students will be going home, making socially distancing easier. So all is not lost

I'm not certain thats something that federal government has the authority to do, not to mention that a new administration would not even be in place until late January. But it seems this renewed concern is because The Volunteer Classic was canceled, which has nothing to do with the government or Joe Bidenthe schools aren't the issue. the government is. if the feds, which under biden they absolutely will, issue a lockdown then it's over. point. blank. period.

I would agree with that. From article:
Why it matters…“the pandemic is effectively over”
With a false presumption that 100% of the population is susceptible to the virus, along with only 7% having been infected, it is the view of SAGE, that “the pandemic has only just begun.” Yeadon clarifies, however, that this is “palpable nonsense.”
Since it is demonstrable that “around 30% of the population had prior immunity,” and if one includes some young children who are “resistant,” 40%, and while considering that the infection rate is “somewhere [in] the mid-20s to low-30s per cent,” this means that around 65 to 72% of the population currently has immunity to COVID-19.
I know Biden would like a shutdown because of the authoritarian tendencies of the far left. However I believe Biden may not do so because there may be a nationwide revolt and FU to the new administration which I’m sure is not how Biden will like his presidency to start.the schools aren't the issue. the government is. if the feds, which under biden they absolutely will, issue a lockdown then it's over. point. blank. period.

I’m sure there will be heavy Democratic Party controlled metro areas that will accept it. I would guess 80-90% of the land area in the US and the people living there will tell Biden what he can do if there are national mandates on any type of masks or limits on gatherings or movements.the key is to just keep making people afraid of the virus and they'll bow down to anything. give me liberty or give me death is quite literally dead in our society.
if the people of michigan/minnesota will accept a $1000 fine/90 day jail sentence for families celebrating thanksgiving then they'll definitely accept a new lockdown. not everywhere has the views on rights and liberty that the southeast does.
