Coach Mike Leach

Will Rogers was protected well last night for the most part, and I don't think State's OL is as good as UT's. That is called coaching 'em up.
The UGA defense last night is a shell of the one we played. They are missing their two best players safety Richard LeCounte and noseguard Jordan Davis and 4-5 other starters and contributors. They also had Pickens back on offense last night for the first time in 2-3 games and their offense is much better when opposing defenses have to account for him.

State only had 49 scholarship players. No excuses. Georgia is a damn good team and State took them to the wire.

I like Leach. I was excited when I thought we were going to get him. He's better than Pruitt. But he wouldn't be in my first 5 or probably even 7 calls.

I'm not making excuses for us I'm just stating facts. 48-49 players is about how many kids usually play in a normal close conference game, the problem would have been if they had injuries.

In his first year at the helm, MSU took UGA to the wire last night. Not only that, but MSU looked better than or as good as UGA is every aspect of the game other than the deep ball, which is the only reason UGA won.

UT had Leach lined up, and not taking him was an AD blunder. I am not calling for Pruitt to be fired this year, but if UT flops next year he needs to go by mid season.

I don't see how UT could get Leach now that he is at MSU, but whoever pulled the plug on that deal really dropped the ball. It's Pruitt's 3rd year and UT is still on the bottom. When Leach has been at MSU for 3 years, they will be competing for the SEC West. Mark my word.
I'll grant you that MSU took UGA to the wire last night but going in to the game State was something like 13th in the SEC in total offense. You've really seen enough from him to think he should be Tennessee's next hire?

Do you really think that matter, how many guys travel on sec road games 70, how many play, 53, 54? state was 2 in conference in rushing d and they shut UGA down. They also threw 52 passes, 35 of which are within 5 yards of the los. They controlled the clock and played a great game. UGA is some measuring stick barometer, they aren’t that good. UF rolled them as did bama until uga defends the pass they will continue to get thumped. not sure I get the UGA fixation.

He is a proven winner. So his expectations are much higher than a Pruitts. Leach has been terrible this year.
I think Leach has done Ok with the roster he inherited. He is better than Pruitt and willhave more success than Kiffin. He will have a longer tenure then both.

HB is the future here and he may save CJPs career at UT.

Only if he can also develop players, count to 11, manage a game clock - remembering that there’s are 15 minutes in a quarter, recruit DLs, and clean house with his Gump Friends and family (pun intended) ridiculously incompetent coaching staff.

Oh......he should fire JP as well and get a decent HBC in here.

MSU also started a freshman QB last night who has now faced both Alabama and Georgia on the road. His confidence didn't get all shattered. He's currently thrown 105 passes without an interception and is completing 75 percent of his passes. By year three Leach will be far far better than we are in year three with Pruitt. He would have been a great hire at that point in the coaching search and we wouldn't be strugging to break 20 points against everyone we play.

P.S his defense is much better than Pruitt's in year one vs year three for the defensive guru. We gave up 223 yards rushing to Georgia, they gave up 32 yards rushing and 13 less points.

I have been following Leach since Texas Tech beat Texas back in 2003 or whenever that was. He is a football genius and his system will be unstoppable in the SEC, despite what all the alleged 'experts' say.

And, its with very young players. He has gutted the program. He guts program and takes 2-3 years every time (Texas Tech & Wash St). But, he also turns programs by yr 3 or 4.

That UGA team AIN'T the same team UT played way back in Oct.....their Defense is shot to hell...

And what about the REST OF LEACH'S GAMES this year??? Are you forgetting those pathetic performances earlier this year by Miss. State???

Fulmer pulled the plug. We can debate about Leach’s future in the SEC, but there shouldn’t be any debate that leach was a better option than Pruitt.

I was in favor of hiring Leach, but I do believe you are correct. With that said, the jury is out. He’s in year ☝️. Pruitt is in year 3.

I have been watching his teams since he was at TTU. Once his system is up and running it will not look anything like what we have seen this year. Even last night the Offense was much improved over earlier games, but still not running the air raid. Just the 1st few pages of the play book right now.

Staggering that Kirby thought D'wan Mathis was better than JT Daniel's at the start of the season. UGA could well be 7-0 and the #1 team in the country right now if JT had been the starter.
